/offtopic I hear they just recently patched SpeculationHaxDon't spawn more speculation. It's a bit odd what they are doing.. But I feel like they're patching some more serious exploits.
SHax was my thing, thanks for leaking it. Jeezzzzzzzz/offtopic I hear they just recently patched SpeculationHax
/ontopic They probably realized its not really worth their time to patch userland exploits As its actually a Good thing for the System to have Homebrew in a sense Although Maybe they can't fix them without serious revisions to the code
rely like making the 3ds not work or just random files on sd card?10.5 was literally only to fix a bug causing corrupted data.

I think that idea somewhat existed in the PSvita. It never really took off...How great would it be if Nintendo had an AppStore like Apple and Android and WindowsPhone - and the devkit was free or cost a little bit. There would be thousands of fully-featured games you could buy for a few dollars. The way to make a system or game last is through user-generated content keeping it fresh. For example, the Elder Scrolls games stay active for ages with the mini devkit they have for users to create their own content and quests. And Minecraft has been popular for years and years.
There would be no motivation to exploit the console for homebrew, and lack of devs for homebrew would set piracy WAY back (most piracy exploits seem to come from discoveries by homebrewing devs).

Apple manage to moderate their content. Big N could do that too.Nintendo won't do that because of all the bloatware that would end up on the store. They're very selective about the devs they pick, partly because of quality control and partly because that's how they used to do it in the industry, and that's what the big N wants to stick with.

That's true. I hate the ones with ads. They could always be a lot stricter than Apple (only genuine games, not ones filled with ads or microtransactions). That's why the appstore is filled with shitty Chinese cash grabs that copy a popular game and throw in 1000000 microtransactions.
that might turn off potential developers too actually. Flappy bird took off and it had loads of ads. But the idea of having a better, and open appstore for nintendo still is a good idea, if they do it wellThat's true. I hate the ones with ads.
