I tried opening this file in MPO Toolbox, and it crashes. Either MPO Toolbox is lousily implemented or Nintendo is not producing fully standards-compliant MPO files...

The .MPO file format is currently used by Fuji 3D cameras, but the good news is that there is a free tool allowing conversion between .MPO and other formats. See MPO Toolbox. You can easily e.g. extract two JPEGs (each for one eye), create a red-and-cyan version to be used with super-old 3D glasses made of paper, or take a 3D photo shot with another device and convert it into a 3DS-friendly version.
Hopefully the 3D porn will come soon to 3DS !

Watching hardcore ecchi and softcore hentai in 3D is fun for a while but it gets a bit boring after awhile.
