Gaming I am disappointed

The dsi xl is £150 in the UK so I would expect to pay at least £200 for it. We knew it wouldn't be cheap because face it most of us will buy it regardless and nintendo knows this.

I don't see this happening when they've already done OoT & StarFox 64. I can imagine them getting a fair amount of criticism for it. Other devs would probably want to do the same, make existing N64 games look a little better, keep costs down and charge full price at retail.

It also depends on N64 emulation, I know PSP can't emulate quite a lot of games at the moment and we really just don't know what is in this thing until Nintendo tell us.

Here are some things that I'm worried/let down about:
- Price.

The price is more agreeable than I thought at first, when you consider than the PSP Go is still more expensive. I worked out that, in the UK, we'll be paying £220 for it. If you directly convert the price of the 3DS before Japan's 5% consumption tax, then apply the UK's 20% VAT, you get £216 which'll obviously get rounded up.

- Only GB/GBA/GBC Virtual Console?

To be honest, if the Game Boy Virtual Console will be as poorly supported as the main one on the Wii, it won't even be worth bothering with. It's a nice touch, I'll admit, and I really can't wait to re-buy a lot of my games, but I'm hardly expecting more than all the popular first party titles.

When I buy it next year (Which I will, I'm going to take out 50-100 dollars each month towards that handheld. FINALLY, I can buy a handheld on first launch with my own money. Also this is somewhat generous from Nintendo making a price of that product for 300 dollars. Which really means $299.99 like when the first launch for Nintendo Wii?

I mean if Sony was to release a PSP2 with 3D screens they will charge it more than the PSP GO.

Since they sell less games tanks to piracy they need to higher the price on the console since you can't pirate a console..

All the different countries have different prices for consoles and games.
For example, we get very ripped off in Australia, compared to America.

Is anybody else somewhat disappointed from the announcement?

Here are some things that I'm worried/let down about:
- Price. yeah a bit high... But I will and I must buy IT!
- Only GB/GBA/GBC Virtual Console? Do not worry, there will come more if I know nintendo
- Release date.SSF IV at the release!

- For the price, the unit looks somewhat cheap.nah looks okay, you can say the same about the Wii.
- The re-addition of the volume "slider", as opposed to the excellent DSi and DSi XL volume buttons.As long as the sound is good I do not care!

However, I'm happy about:
- Tag mode. Agree
- Swapping your DSiWare games to the 3DS. Oh My God a solution on the stupid problem!
- Mii's!Meh?
- The games mostly look fantastic visually, excluding that crummy Japanese baseball title.YAAY
- Strong major titles from major developers.:yayagain:
- The non-fingerprint attracting material coming back from the DSi.no carez

So here is my opinion!

In my opinion, the price is a little steep, but I can deal with it and pay the price if I think it's worth it and I do.

The price? There are phones for, like €500. Yeah, the Euro here.
Anyway, that's really expensive as well, and do what you get for it? Mostly functions you won't use.
The 3DS is designed for gaming, you'll use it to game. With a phone you can call. I can do that with a way cheaper phone too.
So, the price isn't that bad.
