Can a Mystic Silver Gran Turismo Edition PSP-3000 be proCFW 6.20 perma modded if it's on 6.20 OFW? Alternatively can it be downgraded to 6.20 OFW just in case it was already updated to 6.60 OFW and then it can be proCFW 6.20 perma modded?
Yes to everything. :moogle:

Same question as before but for a God of War: Ghost of Sparta special edition Black and Red Two-Toned PSP-3000.

Rydian it may be an idea to edit your Filetrip firmware downloads and remove the US region specificity. So for instance it's the 6.60 OFW update rather than the 6.60 US OFW update....

Question: I installed "6.20 Pro-B10" successfully with my PSP-1000. When I go to run the test inside the Permanent patch, it does not reboot as it should. It just brings me back to the main menu screen. Is this normal? The patcher warns me not to use it unless the test is successful.

Also, I should mention despite 6.20 Pro-B10, my main screen interface hasn't changed whatsoever. It looks just like a normal PSP interface.

The interface won't change, unless you install CXMB plugin and use a custom theme (ctf). Press select to bring up the VSH menu (which is only active when the hack is active) or go to System > System Settings > System Information to see if it says 6.20 Pro-B10.

Ahh okay, got it. I was just confused by the sample pics of other users with their custom wallpaper backgrounds, thinking that was part of the hack. Thanks for the info.

Ah, I have some doubts I hope someone can help me with.

I got a PSP 2001 with CFW 5.00 M33-6. I want to upgrade to a permanent 6.20 PRO. I understand that I need to return to OFW 5.00, then upgrade to OFW 6.20, run the Updater to PRO 6.20. My questions are... How safe is this? I mean, what are the chances of "bricking" my PSP. Also, will I need to update something else? I mean, if I have a save of a game, will it run in this new CFW or I'll need to start over?

Thank you...

Since you have a cfw (not an lcfw like pro) installed, your psp2000 is fully hackable; if, by any chance, your psp bricks, you can easily recover it with a pandora battery. Besides, you won't brick it. :P

There are a few ways to recover corrupted save files (which happens to some, but not others...), but I am not sure what the programs are, out of the top of my head. It'd be nice if somebody else could help you on that.
