OP didn't state anywhere they didn't want to update. In fact, in their ONLY 3 replies on this thread they took the advice from the start, and proceeded to make a NAND backup and update, so I don't know where you got that from. This thread was solved on the first page. It amazes me how many of you simply came to argue between updating or not without bothering to check if OP already made a decision.
Also I'd like to mention CTRHttpwn is dead 100%. Just because it works (as in loads and let's you access eShop) doesn't mean it works correctly. There were a number of changes to the HHTP/NWM servers that will cause your connection to "time out" when trying to access them with ctrhttpwn. It's 100% better to update your console, use an updated emuNAND at the least if you're scared to update sysNAND (even though with CFW it's 200% safe).
