Hmm, maybe the famicom mini stock emulator is different, it can play and switch sides FDS games. Anyway, I think Nestopia and FCEUMM needs disksys.rom to run FDS games normally (outside of retroarch) from what I remember when using them on my PC, could that be the problem?
The famicom mini stock emulator doesn't like every FDS game. it can't switch sides for the Mursame for some reason...
I've been asking if someone could extract the 3DS virtual console version to test it. That version appears to have been modified to remove the disk swapping altogether.
No. Since both GitHub repos are maintained by me, they have the same modules. Both use snes9x2005 in the latest release. So cluster's RetroArch mod uses snes9x2010 and we should switch to your snes9x2005 to have save states?
Thanks.
As of now, no. FB Alpha looks for neogeo.zip in the ROM folder. I intend to fix this so that you'll need to add it only once for all NG games to work.@pcm720 Could you explain the bios template. Will this work for neo geo games? We only need one set of bios and don't need to put them in each game folder? And which of the cores and extra cores need bios?
Look at README.mdAnd which of the cores and extra cores need bios?
Getting those msx games working had a price. Like the monkey's paw (short story btw)... hehe j/kWeird, i just found out that my FDS games are not working anymore...how is that possible ?

Thanks for the tips! I haven't tried it yet, but I'm DLing 3DSE0164 (try googling that) --- Europe 3DS virtual console version of Murasame. Fingers crossed that it will work. It'll take awhile to confirm b/c I'll be re-flashing a 295 MB game repository.....
EDIT: I see that the file I downloaded is a .3DS file...............is there any program that can convert this to a .nes or .fds format???? Can I just upload the .3DS format to the NES Classic and run it with retroarch (not sure what core I would need to install....)?
I believe disksys.rom is built into the Nintendo mini. The stock emulator uses it.
Retroarch detects it.
Have you tried changing it to --core FCEUmm ?
I think that' show it is spelled inside the retroarch.
I noticed the new retroarch clover only has nestopia and fceumm. How do I transfer everything to the new one, especially changing Snes9x2010 to 2005.The only SNES game I am having save state issues with is Super Mario RPG. It freezes and won't play, after opening saved state. You can play just fine and save it, but when you open it back up, the game is no longer playable... Something like that, what you were talking about?

2.13e has some bug and folder fixes. From the Release page:
Thought it may help in your case
- Fixed huge bug in folder manager when new folders were missed after first sync.
Hi,
I apologized if this was answered before . I uploaded 132 games(97mb) to my NES mini using Hakchi v2.13c. It is a mixture of NES, SNES and Game Boy, GBA games. My step daughter was thrilled to play Pokemon Red on GBA for first time. After a hour of playing she hit reset to save her progress but nothing happened. No Save State. Save States work for NES games but not for any of the SNES or GBA a games. Did i miss something? Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Hakchi is awesome. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into it.
You'll need to find information on how to extract files within the file. I've never done it before so I have no idea. But there are pages on extracting/injecting roms into the files in order to emulate other games.
The newest release https://github.com/ClusterM/retroarch-clover/releases does have only the two NES cores that are automatically installed. You have to copy the cores that you want to use, into the user mods folder and then install them ALL, along with the new retroarch.hmod. That means you will want to copy the snes2005.hmod and any other snes cores, genesis_plus_gx.hmod for Genesis, and I also use mednafen_pce_fast.hmod for Turbo Graffix 16 games. If you use gameboy or other types, then grab them too! see images below.I noticed the new retroarch clover only has nestopia and fceumm. What's the main difference between snes9x2005 and snes9x2010 emulation wise?

I'll likely use 5 savestates maximum at a time for SNES so I'm not that concerned, also are ram saves fine or do they have this problem too?Snes9x2010 is superior for gameplay experience (with a couple exceptions), and there are some games where the differences are glaring. The rain drops in ALTTP, the visuals in Donkey King Country, and sound effects in general are all distorted in snes9x2005. Those are just some examples. Unfortunately, there is a bug in snes9x2010 that creates 5MB save states, so you could quickly eat up your memory and get a C4 error if you save too many games. The only game I actually found to be improved on snes9x2005 is Yoshi's Island.
Do you mean the RetroArch save states...not sure about that. I would assume so just to be safe.I'll likely use 5 savestates maximum at a time for SNES so I'm not that concerned, also are ram saves fine or do they have this problem too?

Ah, sorry. As far as I know those work fine and do not have the same issue, but I do not know that for sure.I mean the cartridge saves
