Grab Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition while it's free on PC/PS4/360 until June 25th

WB Games has made one of its games free to keep, for a limited time. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is being given away, not just on PC, but on consoles too. You can grab it on either Steam, or the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4, or oddly enough, get the base edition of the game for the Xbox 360, which has backwards compatibility with the Xbox One. The Ultimate Edition of the game contains six additional characters compared to the first release, new missions to complete, and more character skins. Injustice is a fighting game with a roster that pulls from a variety of different DC comics, and initially launched back in 2013, and you can claim it for free until June 25th.

I've seen loads saying they got it for free with PS Plus. Except, it's not free. If you let the subscription run out then you can't play it anymore, so, it's pretty much a long-term rental they've got

Yeah, being the Xbox 360 version allows customers from two generations rather than just one. I do hope Xbox X can play Xbox and Xbox 360 games too (it'll be able to play Xbox One games as confirmed).

Red Dead Revolver on PS5/XSX would be awesome, preferably remastered.

forget about it not being free.... it's a shame really if you have plus and got this before that means your screwed.

Yeah if people didn’t know, this is the second game in the modern NRS timeline:

Mortal Kombat 9
Injustice
Mortal Kombat X
Injustice 2
Mortal Kombat 11

So it’s an improved version of MK9 (with a bunch of it’s own features), which in itself was a pretty good game.

With that pattern, seems like a safe bet that Injustice 3 will be next.

Also, there never even was an Xbox One version of this game, so there's that too lol

I don't think you needed to point this out. Everyone already knows. Although it's still $ spent, it's less than $3 a month for a year subscription with the constant deals you can find pretty much all year round. I've been a subscriber since PS Plus started, so even if I let my subscription lapse I regain access to literally 600+ games for less than $3 a month any time I renew & the number goes up every month. Last month alone the "free" games totaled a $60 value. $2.xx is about as close as one can get to being free. $360 in games in 2020 thus far, for a cost of about $16. While it's technically true, no one should be complaining about "free" being an "extended rental".

Why did the PS4 receive the Ultimate version but the Xbox received the basic Xbox 360 version, which does not run at 1080p and has a worse performance than the Wii U version?

from what i understand of xbox 360 backwards compatibility if there is an xbox one version available they will let you download for free and play it as long as you have the disc (to prove ownership)

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
