uh ok im really confused. I downloaded the update for me DSTwo. Now what do i do with that?

if it's not named dstwoupdate and is .dat format, rename it to dstwoupdate then make it's extention .dat after that put it on the root of your Micro SD card then insert the Micro SD in your DSTwo and it'll ask you if you want to update it, hit A for OK(Update) and B for Cancel(Do Not Update).

I want to give caution to anyone using the DSL version (and actually using DSLite) with the AK2i Beta update as there are now two people (myself included) reporting that they have wound up with a brick (and I am unable to restore the cart to the previous firmware successfully).

+1 for the bricked acekard. Good thing I have 2 acekards and managed to unbrick the bricked one using the update swap trick.

I have two acekards and a half dozen carts of other types (though I haven't tried them all) and I have not been able to unbrick my bricked one using the (beta 4.3) DSL swap updater nor the previous firmware updater

So i put the DSTwo update .dat on my cart's root and then put it in my 3DS and i got the error screen. From what i hear you need to leave it like this for like 3 minutes or something?

Whoa, they blocked pretty much everything I seriously doubt they added anything else though, because they didn't even change the version number (10)

theres actually a few fixes to the home menu, but waiting for info
the second digit changed which normally means a Home Menu Update

but yea at a guess they have blocked everything

would make me laugh if Nintendo check here to see the results of there update
they probably see this page as a scoreboard

each number stands for its own part of the system
flashcard blocks dont get a number update tho

its nintendos number system
if that part of the system was not changed then theres no need
we will probably see 5.0.0.-10 before long as the 3DS is to get the home menu of the WiiU

I've ordered an R4i gold. They seem to be as speedy as DSTwo at updating and it costs a fraction of a DSTwo. Don't need all the functionality of a DSTwo so R4i Gold is my best option. Just gotta wait for it to arrive. Haven't updated since 4.2, and dare not try the beta 4.3 AK update as I've read a few people have buggered their cards.

On "Moving Data & Software from Nintendo 3DS" can you confirm that individual eShop or DSiWare games can now be transferred rather than the entire system?
I always found it a bit much that it was so heavily restricted, forcing transfer of whole system only with 3DS to 3DS.
I also transferred a few DSiWare games to my 3DS that I wish I could transfer back to my DSi XL (even though I have a 3DS XL.. some games still bother me visually the way they scale).

Curious if you can say anything more about supposed new 3DS Camera functions too. Maybe NA/EU get it in the next update..

On "Moving Data & Software from Nintendo 3DS" can you confirm that individual eShop or DSiWare games can now be transferred rather than the entire system?

camera functions added where the Video
