Don't know if this has been mentioned before, I searched using the search function and didn't see anything. I even went back about 10 pages and didn't see anything mentioned, so I thought I'd add this in.
I own a card I bought from Mod Chips Direct before they went away. Its actually their R4 B9S card that came with two different cards. A grey one and a white one. You can read more about it here:

Well it turns out that the white card is actually a r4i-sdhc 2016 Dual Core. It isn't a horrible card and it can run YsMenu and Wood. It has done everything I've asked it to do except for one thing: cheats. I just didn't even try looking for cheats or even how to use them. But now that I've played the games and beaten them, I'd like to replay them with some enhancements.
I downloaded this cheat database. Specifically, usrcheat.dat which is supposed to be the supported format for Wood. I dropped it in __rpg/Cheats and fired up my flashcard and then made sure cheats were enabled. They were so I highlighted a game and brought up the cheat menu. Nothing. Nothing at all for any game. So I recopied the file back over and tried again. Nope. Thinking I had a bad download, I redownloaded it. Same issue. Getting pretty frustrated, I just said screw it and downloaded the whole repository from Bitbucket. Thats when I noticed something odd.
usrcheat.dat is only 32kb. That doesn't seem appropriate. So I compared this with another usrcheat.dat file I had found online but hadn't tried and saw that the other file was over 18Mb. Something definitely is wrong here. I grabbed R4CCE (
https://nintendo.pokefans.net/1567) and imported the XML file which had a shitload of cheats in it because it took over a minute. Then I saved that as an r4 compatible usrcheat.dat file that was well over 30Mb. Sure enough, that one works.
So if anyone has the same issue I did, instructions are above. It worked great.
