Dead Island 2 removed from Steam

dead-island-2.png

After a rocky and confused development, the unreleased game Dead Island 2 no longer appears on the Steam Store. Last year, the game was delayed significantly, and Deep Silver dropped its previous developer. This is certainly not a good sign for anyone hopeful about the future of the game as all signs point to its cancellation, though Deep Silver has not yet said anything officially about the status of the game.

That's a shame. I for one liked the first game. Now, I didn't see any trailer for the game, so I went in without any expectations - maybe that's why I enjoy it so much more than most people here ;)

Dying Light saved the Dead Island and the otherwise zombie franchise. Even though it was written on a modified version of the Dead Island engine, they managed to get their ship together and produce one of the best zombie games of all-time.
