The Acekard 2i has been very slow in updating for DSi/3DS compatibility (it can take over a month lately), and isn't compatible with the latest 3DS update.what about AK2i?
By who? listen to Rydian. He knows what hes talking about.I was told that the R4 (r4ids.cn) is the best for budget carts
How else are you supposed to buy Mighty Switch Force or redeem free game codes you get from promos? It's not an issue if you don't update.
We've never seen a fake DSTwo.Any suggestions on the best place to get a DSTwo preferably here in the US? Also are there clones and counterfeits you need to be aware of?
The same way all the other flash cart users do it. They update the cart first, then the system. The secondary update method is definitely great, but if users come to rely on it that's just asking for trouble. The DSTwo is fast with it's updates, but it's not instantaneous. The updates don't magically come into existence, so if people update the system first they could find their DSTwo unusable for a while even with the secondary update system because it needs the update to exist. How else are you supposed to buy Mighty Switch Force or redeem free game codes you get from promos?
This is console hacking, against the manufacturer. Unlike other areas, here the manufacturer of the device is working specifically against the user's needs, attempting to repeatedly restrict them. Sort of like rooting phones. There's some simple rules, such as "don't automatically run every system update you see".And there are a ton of products in the world where a fail safe system makes all the difference in buying one item over another.
