I reccomend everyone right now get mame2010 core and mame bios hmod, install and get dodonpachi rom and be utterly amazed.
How EXACTLY do you do this[add mame2010 core and bios]? Do you use anything out of the "dependencies" folder? I don't understand, it's a bunch of empty folders and an "install" file? I'd like to try this, have retroarch running for snes9x, gba, etc. but can't add mame properly. point me to a tut? help a dummy out?

Sorry, I didn't upload today's set properly. You can grab the proper Zip with today's date, now.

I have your set, I just don't understand how to install mame2010. I used "_km_mame2010_9_22_17.hmod" to add to user mods folder to install as extra module, but wat is the bios, and wat is the core? You EXACTLY do I install this, it's obviously not just adding "_km_mame2010_9_22_17.hmod", but I don't understand what else I need to do. I understand the "/bin/mame2003 /usr/share/games/..." for after mame is properly installed, but how do you properly install it in the first place? Thanks for all the hard werk of all the clusters, monkeys, maniacs, etc...This is AWESOME

Copy the cores into user mods folder, and use module install cores option in hakchi, to choose MAME 2010. After adding games as archives, command line changes from /bin/zip TO /bin/mame2010

This is also the workaround to have n64 saves work more optimally.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Got KI/KI2 Running. But, do not get too excited:) It isn't very optimal, speed wise!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Today's Core Set update includes:

Updated Genesis Plus GX, FBA 2012, Fceumm in RetroArch, Added FDS Bios Support, Added MAME 2003 Variant which can run KI/KI2 (albeit very slowly!). This Variant is located in the Dependencies & Extras Folder. Due to the MAME 2003 that is in main set, being able to run Sega System 32 Games, the KI/KI2 capable one will not be replacing it. It is just there for testing purposes.

Enjoy:)

And, here is a video of me doing Killer Instinct Arcade Test!

Nice, I always liked the arcade port better :P

Yes Randomizer PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP posting nonsense stuff. It is already hard enough to get these roms to work properly with the correct mods. We don't need more obstacles sifting thru junk posting just to learn on here. Thanks!

I just looked at you most recent zip,now there is a "_km_mame2003_10_15_17.hmod" I see..Wut are the "cores", this file and "_km_mame2010_9_22_17.hmod"? Are these two the "cores" and will run mame2010? Thanks for all your work/help! I'm excited to try more emus...

Let me try to explain my ignorance more effectively...I LITERALLY read >=300 pages of this thread before I finally understood that retroarch didn't launch snes games, it told snes9x to do so. What are the "cores" (plural) that you speak of? something other than "_km_mame2010_9_22_17.hmod" file? Sorry for my ignorance.

I would recommend using mame 2003, as it covers most games. Here is a brief mame tutorial I made...

Thanks, this was helpful, but I tried adding "_km_mame2003_7_21_17.hmod" as module, but still get black screen and return to menu with the DonPachi I'm trying to run...

@KMFDManic Any chance you could make a video tutorial on having separate controller inputs for different consoles in RetroArch? If I boot up a GBA game (such as Megaman & Bass) after playing a SNES game, the B button fires and A button jumps, and this is not ideal. Y button should fire and B should jump. But if I change the inputs, then the next time I play a SNES game, the button inputs need to be changed again. I'd like to have separate controller inputs for both systems.
