Ok so, now Kid Dracula and Getsu Fuma work. Unfortunately, Murasame Castle still doesn't. It does have the parameter telling it to flip disk sides on button press, but it just doesn't. I've pressed all buttons and combinations of buttons and it does nothing. It's just frozen on the change sides screen.
Help?

Thanks for completely disregarding the question. As far as I know, that version isn't translated.

Offering an alternative option is not disregarding the question. Obviously, the game has issues with switching sides. I am offering up a solution, which I used, to still enjoy the game.

Anyways, since your post, I researched it a little. If you go to the command line for the game, leave a space there, then add this argument...

--fds-auto-disk-side-switch-on-keypress

The game "should" work.

Please refrain from being rude, in the future. I am here to help:)

3000!!! Don't post a video, better put the release :-)

There is quite a bit of technical stuff going on in my testing. There may very well be a "breaking point", where you simply have TOO MANY games. I have done similar stress tests when trying to maximize entries on MP3 players, Phones, etc, in the past. I would downsize the bit rate for music, so that I could fit more songs. But, there was almost always a limit to exactly how many files could be processed and effectively run. You could add, say 1000 songs to a generic mp3 player, that may only be able to handle 500 files. Every file after 500, would skip instantly, as it couldn't be read. The same may potentially hold true for the 381 mb of total space on the Mini NES. I am trying to go as far as I can possibly go, without "breaking" things! But, rest assured, I will keep posting updates on my progress:)

Updates are posted here...

I got that one working by using retroarch to map the "a" button to flip it. Then saved that setting for all those type of games.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I've been asking this for months and all answers amount to the same unhelpful comments. Like yours just now, if you actually paid attention to what I said, you would already know that that command line is already automatically inputted, and it isn't working.

Thank you, I'll try that. How exactly do I map it though? Is it in the retroarch menu somewhere?

What controllers are working with the Mini nes?
with cord and cordless.
And what third party cord controllers do work?

If Murasame Castle doesn't work, you can always get the GBA version.

I have noticed Kirby's Dreamland 3 doesn't run very well, i wonder if there is an issue with games like this which make use of the "pseudo high-resolution" SNES feature? To the best of my knowledge, i have the latest retroarch / SNES installed, in conjunction with 2.15.
Does anyone know anything about this? It could of course have nothing to do with this feature.
I also understand that the game cartridge makes use of something termed Sa-1 to process game data at a faster rate. Any ideas anyone?

Will @Cluster stop supporting this since the NES Classic is discontinued?

Would of been cool to have tried out myself but how many people realistically will benefit from this looking from the number of sold units alone.

Surely you don't think that's the primary reason he - or any other true hacker - does it.

I've used the Nyko Miniboss that came in the bundle I got. There is one thing about it that I don't like. The start + select to get the retroarch menu doesn't work on the miniboss. Other than that, it's better than the included controller. At least on my Nintendo controller, the d pad feels a bit loose. In Punch Out, this spells death. When you press down to block a punch, you will move off to the left. It seems to me that the official controller's d pad doesn't do directions well. When you hit one direction, most of the time, it registers a second direction at the same time.

I don't know about other third party controllers, though, as that's the only one I've got. I do know that the Wii Classic Controller and Wii Classic Controller Pro are said to work on the nes classic. I'm going to pick one up so I can finally play all the Genesis and SNES games I've put on the classic.

I've been given a couple of 'logic 3' controllers which look just like Wii classic controllers. I don't know how much they cost but may be cheaper than Wii ones. I've tested them on a few different games on different formats and they seem fine. They also have a little red led which looks quite nice and the home button returns to nes mini menu. I also noticed that the second controller also can be used to scroll through the game menu. I'll test some more and report back here if I find any problems.

Yep.

This is what I did. You probably know most of these steps but I included them all in case someone else comes along with less knowledge.

1. Start game then hit select + start to pull up the retroarch menu
2. Click on Quick Menu
3. Scroll down and click controls
4. Scroll down to (FDS) Disk Side Change then use D pad to change until you see A Button (right)
5. Scroll to next one that says (FDS) Eject Disk and change to A Button (right)
6. Scroll up to Save Core Remap File and click it (I'm not sure which button does the actual saving since there is no confirmation so I hit them all once)
7. Hit the back button to go back to Quick Menu, scroll down and select Save Core Overrides to save it
8. The click on restart or if that doesn't work click on resume then use the down + select to exit game then restart as normal

Don't know if it matters but I use --retroarch --core nestopia in the command line instead of fceumm
