Need some guidance for System Transfer.

I got 3 consoles right now:

A - 2ds on OFW on 11.3 (with my kid NNID)
B - o3DS on CFW (Luma) on 11.2 (with my own NNID)
C - n3DS on CFW (Luma) on 11.2 (no NNID)

I dumped my game carts and saves on B and planned to backup everything on the PC (newly dumped cia and saves)

Maybe I don't need to transfer those NNID (do I?)

-> If I do, I would transfer my NNID of my old 3ds (B) to my new 3ds (C). I think it will require System update to 11.3 for doing so. After that, I would transfer A to B.
-> If I don't, how can I unlink those NNID from the console, is the format the only solution ? If it is, what will I loose by doing so ?

Am I missing something? I don't really understand the "ticket" thing, I think I need to dump them from my console B but I'm not too sure why and how.

Also, I would like to know if anybody did a system transfer on CFW with 11.3 installed.

Thanks a plenty, that's my last step and I don't want to loose something and/or brick a console.
To remove a nnid without formatting (with a9lh) there is a guide on 3ds.guide. It is listed on the website header.

I have a New 3DS that I needed the SD card out of temporarily, so I removed the SD card and backed it up with my laptop. I then formatted the SD card and have used it multiple times to install Windows on a few spare laptops and Wii modding. I've just got done with everything I needed the SD card for and low and behold, my laptop died. I hadn't gotten around to backing up the laptop before it died and my weekly backup schedule hadn't performed, so I am now without a backup of my SD card.

I do not care about the save files. I do not care about the games. It has A9LH and no attached NNID, so formatting is OK. Do I just format the console after putting the standard guide files in place and getting it to boot?

Why would you format the console? There's no reason to format the console. Just put arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your SD card and that is literally all you need.. Of course you can put payloads, HBL files etc. in there too. And FYI the console should work without SD card anyways if you've setup the SDless boot where you copied the arm9loaderhax.bin file to the CTRNAND of the console.

I literally just did what I said I was going to do. Now I have a whole LOT of installed titles in Data Management that just aren't there. THAT is why I'm formatting it.

Hi, i got some questions in arm9loaderhax guide:

Section II , Line 2 "You should be on 2.1.0"
Section IV, Line 6 "If your backup was of a version between 3.0.0 and 4.5.0, your console will not boot until you manually download the required firmware"

My Old3DS 6.2 Europe is compatible with this method? I can´t find any compatibility list :/

Thanks for your time

Transfer NNIDs since my kid play online sometimes. And I want to keep his saves from the 2ds (on OFW).
Perform a System Transfer. This is the only way to move NNIDs between consoles. Use JKSM to backup the saves on any console that you want to keep the saves on, and restore them afterward.

That means you do have data on your card. Either format the card (not the console) or delete each game individually in Data Management.

When you are in the getting started section, you choose your firmware version and then it will instruct you to downgrade to 2.1.0

I have a 2DS that I will be putting Homebrew on (Soundhacks IIRC) but I still want to play Pokemon Sun/Moon online, and be able to transfer my wifi battle recordings into Citra when I get the Homebrew working. Will I need a second 2DS with OFW in order for this to work without having to wait for another CFW update after Nintendo updates the Firmware too? (I'm trying to make sense but can't think of the right words) Also I was told it wasn't possible to transfer wifi battle recordings from an SD card used in a OFW 2DS, to a CFW 2DS, to Citra. I would appreciate if anyone can confirm this or not. Thanks.

If I have a modded 3ds with al9h, luma, and ntr, and I do a system transfer to an unmodded 3ds, do I lose a9lh, or are there any effects on my modded or unmodded 3ds?

No you will not lose A9LH .. Why would you even think you would lose it?

Your unmodded DS will not receive any Homebrew titles or non-legit CIA's .. So why do you want to system transfer exactly?

Yes VC means Virtual Console. It's much easier to download VC games already injected but it's possible to inject your own if you really want to. On old 3DS you can't play VC SNES games but you can play all others. For SNES in old 3DS you need a homebrew emulator.

The DSTwo works fine but the extra features which make it cost more aren't really necessary. You'd be better off with a cheaper card, since you'd probably only be using it for DS games. An exception would be if you wanted to use it on a DS or DSi as well.

I'll be playing a lot of SNES games. Does the CPU make it worth it if I am going to play SNES? Can I play NES on the 3DS XL (U)?

Is Luma3DS a VC?

Are custom firmware compatible with DS emulation cards for 3DS? I have R4iTT specifically.

Most cards are and work as is if you have installed the newest FW into the flashcart. If it does not work then using something like Slot-1 Launcher usually helps.

What? Luma3DS is a CFW.

Can you explain the difference between a CFW and a VC? I am a noob and very grateful for the patience.

I just found out my 3DS's firmware is 10.6. Does that make it impossible to flash a CFW.

Should I do the Sky3DS+ since they say it works with FW up to 11.1?

Why are all the guides seemingly 2 years old and out of date. I am trying to read about this to learn, but I really want something current that doesn't throw me into the deep end of the pool.

Firmware refers to the software you see running on your 3DS, like the menus, icons, etc (kinda like Windows on your PC). CFW or Custom firmware is the hacked version of this that you install over the OFW or Official Firmware. CFW enables things like loading homebrew as icons, making the 3DS region free, etc.
VC or Virtual Console is just what Nintendo call their own emulator for their SNES games, NES games, etc. With a CFW installed, one of the things you can do is make your own VC games from SNES roms, rather than only being able to play the SNES VC games that Nintendo have released.

To flash a CFW, you need to be on a version below 11.2. If you're on 10.6, make sure you stay there. Once CFW is installed, THEN you are free to upgrade to any higher version in the future cuz CFW is now permanently on your 3DS.

I have a Sky3DS+ and it worked on 11.2. From what I understand, it also works on 11.3, if I'm not mistaken.

As for following a guide, always use http://3ds.guide if you want to flash a CFW. Take your time with it. Take it a step/page at a time. Read each page fully before going through the steps on that page, before moving forward. And don't try to take any shortcuts. Do exactly as the guide says. And make sure you have charged your 3DS battery.
Now I know this might sound patronizing or stating the obvious, but you'd be surprised the amount of people come here saying they messed up something so small and simple, and then bricked their 3DS.

I just finished re-hacking my N3DSXL using https://3ds.guide/.

A few n00b questions:
1. Is it correct that I can just update the system (for online use and such) even though it's running "Sysnand" without any worries? (Says Ver. 9.2.0-20E @ Settings menu)

2. Installing a really big cia using FBI is going painfully slow at times (68,63 KiB/s). My SD card is a 128GB San Disk Ultra Micro SDXC. Should this be the case for some reason?. It did get up to a more expected speed again (1-1.5 MB/s or something like that) after a while, but I thought this was very strange.

3. Anywhere else I can read a bit more in-depth about how this CFW setup works?

4. A certain PKMN Moon hangs on black "Nintendo 3DS" screen forever (forced power off by holding power button for 9 sec required). (This might be because the system is still on 9.2.0-20E because I'm not sure if it's safe to update yet, but please let me know if you have an answer to this. This was a problem I've had with the game since it leaked- across two NANDs/CFW setups).
