New videos that proves, that some mappers hacks at least, can run the games and are playables.
Arkanoid USA (No Hack Necessary)

Holy Diver Jap Hack + Translate

Ice Hockey (No Hack Necessary)

Myke Tyson's Punch Out (No Hack Necessary)

Splatter House - Wanpaku Graffiti, also Jap Hack + Translate

Thanks to all the people that gives a hint to try to run games not supported by Mini NES Classic emulator.

Nice!

1. For your version of Holy Diver, did you use the English translation patch by Monaco and then apply the MMC1 hack by MottZilla? The opening screen in your video looks less "flashy" (when the lightning strikes) than mine, but I could be wrong.

2. For your version of Splatter House, did you use the English translation patch by Spinner8 and the MMC3 hack by MottZilla?

Thanks in advance! This will help me test/compare my results.

The patch version are in the description, also the game's version are in the patch web romhacking
The translation are in Holy Diver (Monaco 1.0 not [t1]) and in Splatter House (Spinner8 2.0 not the Multisoft)

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I'm using. Used FloatingIPS to patch. Did the translations first and then applied the mapper hacks. So far so good.

He probably has his epilepsy option not turned off and guessing you do

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So I have seemed to hit a limit, 121 games, loaded fine but if you then go into a game and back out to where a snapshot is then made for the save state it will C8 when you power off. I have the mini thumbnails deleted for all games so I figured I would be able to go pass that number?

General question about deleting and re-adding the original 30 games. When you are loading the individual ROMs, are you using the Rev-A versions of those games? I'm trying to figure out which version was stock loaded on the console. For example, for Castelevia there is a "Castlevania (USA).nes" and a "Castlevania (USA) (Rev-A).nes" Same with Dr. Mario and a few others.

How do I know which to use?

That is one I need to get working. Also Japanese contra. There is a MMC-3 Japanese Contra. Youtube has a video, but can't find it:( You find out let me know. I'll be doing the same

At minute 1:23 you can see the Contra Jap.

@chillmodious I always choose the more advance in letter. But I don't know the version Mini NES has. Maybe @Cluster can say something more.

No, I do not have it disabled. Maybe it's the reverse and he has it disabled while I have it enabled. I doubt it, but perhaps what I'm calling "flashy" is actually the anti-epilepsy 'blur' effect.

That's what I figured, but it would be good to know.

Hmmm so I guess all I have read may have been a little off. Seems 121 games is still a bit of a limit even with the small images deleted. If you turn off the system while a save state image is loaded on screen you will get c8, but just cycle power and it shuts down and boots fine and the games and saves continue to work fine.

I have plenty of save spots. Just get a c8 if a save state image is shown on screen when shutting down
I make another test to check if the Mini NES is "full". It's the "power on, don't play, power off" if appears Shutting Down... it will be ok. But if Crash you have a C8 o black screen error(flash original kernel is necessary)

no flashing the original kernel is not necessary, just hit power button again and it does a normal shutdown and turn it back on and it works fine.

did you install usb drivers? is your device manager listing an 'nesmini' did you try the install via hakchi2 yet (via sync games)

  1. decent quality usb cable (like one from a samsung mobile phone or a ext hardrive kind they are good for transferring)
  2. try a diff usb 2 port and then try another..
  3. disable virus and some need really deep disabling as they have driver checking built-in which screws things like this sometimes probably hidden within the advance/settings
  4. if still not listed could be windows secure driver checking- thats another set of processes altogether to get your windows into a safe mode where you disable secure signature checking for drivers
  5. do the dump and then a kernal flash

(1) I've tried different cables with the same response
(2) My Surface Pro 3 only has 1 usb port
(3) Not sure how to disable the driver checking stuff and not sure about how to do the driver install... When I click the button to install that happens through the software, it responds with not finding the file
(4) I don't see the NES Mini in the device manger but hear a sound like it connects
