For the native feel. Maybe I've been quite spoiled due to the 3DS scene, but I like things neat and tidy, without having to run anything. Going through browser at the same time is too much of a hassle, and at the same time, I would not want to spend any money on the eshop.
Kids today are unbelievable are you seriously saying it's too much hassle to click the Internet button and wait 30 secs or so for it to load mocha.

Oh boy.... If you are looking to start an arguement here, then you are much more of a "kid" than I am. I'm just giving my personal opinion. Of course launching it via the browser exploit is easy. But if you are required to do it each time on boot, not even mentioning that it isn't a 100% boot rate, it can be quite annoying. I've never forced anyone to do anything about it, nor am i complaining about it. I'm just giving my reasons on why I'm planning to use the legit disc ticket install method instead in response of a fellow commenter. You seem to be one of those people who think you are superior to everyone else. If you have nothing helpful to say, nor have anything that contributes to this conversation without an intent to start a fight, then stfu.

for one there was zero intention in starting a fight from me like you said I was only stating my opinion. All I did was post a statement on the youth of today who want everything for free and they want everything as quickly as possible. Not saying this about you but the youth of today are always going on about how it's ridiculous they had to wait 10 seconds for a game to load etc well the youth of today should have seen what it was like in the 80s when you had to wait 5mins for a game to load. And with that I am done.

Spend some money in the eshop and get yourself a ds game. Give some back to Nintendo. :)

I actually have 14 legit disc copies of wii u games myself, but for now i don't think I'll be needing it any time soon, as using disc tickets are enough for me currently. But thanks for the advice though.

with the CFW you can already access the vWii content while still on WiiU, allowing you to edit your vWii and unbrick it.
you can use FTPiiU_everywhere.
I backed up the contents of slccmpt01, deleted them, and restored from the backup, and vWii isn't bootable anymore.
FTPiiU everywhere won't fix it. I think it's because either the owner or the permissions are different.
If I recall, FTPiiU doesn't have chmod implemented, and no cfw implementation has chown implemented.
This is all that chmod does in FTPiiU: https://github.com/dimok789/ftpiiu/blob/ftpiiu_everywhere/src/ftp.c#L573
I'm not 100% sure if Mocha will solve the issue, but I'm hoping it will.

I've tried using chmod 0x777 in wupclient before, and it didn't work, but I may try again.
Edit: I tried again with wupclient. It turns out the Wii's filesystem is rw and not rwx, so I needed to use 0x666, and unbricked now, so yay.

Got an issue with Mocha. I updated to 0.2 today via HBAS and booted up redNAND, it worked perfectly so I loaded Mario maker, finished a course, uploaded it then shut down my console in the normal way.

A few hours later I booted my Wii U up and pressed Haxchi (which is set up to run Mocha) and it launched the CFW as normal but it never finishes loading. It sits on the Mocha screen forever (I left it nearly 2 hours).

Any help would be great. I literally changed nothing after the update and it worked once so I'm a bit stumped as to what's happened.
i got the same problem my mocha cfw just stays at mocha screen is there any way to fix

I thought I was the only one too. I bought all the games I ever wanted to play for the Wii U. Been going through dumping and converting all my games. 2 more to go. When I go through the list of what I can download from NUS that I don't have, I haven't found anything other then a few VC titles.

I'm a happy guy just playing the stuff I own without needing to locate the disc and swapping it in.

just keep retrying. If that doesn't work, try making sure your system is at 5.5.1

if i install a game after running mocha 0.2 and playing it . do i playing this game by next version of mocha ? or must install again ?

for autobooting mocha should be memory SD in console for ever ?

Different region use different title IDs, so they can co-exist. Yes, and mocha or other region-free method or CFW will be required to play the out of region game.

If you forget to start mocha:
1) if the game is one with a disk key, it will play
2) if 1) but non-purchased DLC applied, you will get an error message to remove corrupted DLC
3) if eshop-only game (including VC), you will get a not purchased for this console error.
4) if unsigned game (such as homebrew), you will get an error has occurred, power of Wii U

Under all 4 conditions above, it is just an error or as with #4, power off Wii U. No damage.

You can't auto-boot mocha as you can't install a it as a channel. SD card will be required.

I think you are confusing with auto-booting haxchi. Once haxchi is installed, it is in SYSNAND with all necessary files and SD card is not used. Haxchi will use SD card to invoke whatever you have it instructed to load, but itself doesn't require it. So if you have it booting into signature patched Haxchi, you don't need SD card. Signature patched Haxchi will let you do #1-#4 without error, just not 100% certain that it is region-free (99% certain but haven't tried it). Mocha is 100% region-free (I use it for this).

If you don't have SD card with mocha files in SD card, you will get an error -3 (with regards to failure to mount SD). Since you don't autoboot mocha, you restart system

Will the new Mocha address the 299 games/icon limit? There are 30 empty games slots on my screen that I would like to add/fill with games. Also, what will happen to the many Wii U games that are over 4G (example: Bayonetta I & II, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Warriors Orochi: 3 Hyper, Assassins Creed III & IV ...etc) once the hdd is converted to Fat32 with the new Mocha? I like the idea of having one hard drive for my Wii games (vWii), Gamecube games (Nintendont), my emulators (Retroarch) and of course my Wii U games. My plan is to get a 4 or 5TB powered drive and put everything on it. The most important thing for me at this time is figuring a way to bypass the install limit. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Games will be stored in folder (I think) like (00050000/1019898F/(content/code/meta)) and every folder has some game files.
So the limit is only for files and AFAIK they don't reach 4GB

I used the Brazilian method to install my Wii U games (not loadiine) on a Wii U formatted drive. Both Assasin's Creed games are over 12G, Xenoblade Chronicles X is almost 20G. Again, how will this work with FAT32 drives with a 4G limit? Also, any knowledge regarding if the new Mocha will allow more than 299 games?
