Quite a dilly of a joke, there. Don't you dally, we're not here for -any- dilly-dallying!

Oh well, it was a thought, anyway. Because I swear, the closest we have is 'Goofus' and "Gallant".

Sorry to be so late.

Arino's Birthday? February 25th.

Also, if joek0 is still around, my copy of the Retro Game Challenge 1&2 (GCCX : Arino no Chosenjo 1&2) strategy guide finally came in. It's actually written so well I'm wondering if I can even add anything, but in any case it's cool and maybe we can have full guides for things like Mutekiken, Guadia Quest Saga (and the original Guadia Quest from the first game), maps/secrets for the other mini games, etc.

Oh, apparantely there is one more "true" ending after you beat the full game (get all endings) and get 99,999 points in the Daily Challenge, and then you have to wait 1h 7m at the ending screen to finally get the last of the unlockable voices and shirts. Pretty nuts. I'm guessing it is a throwback to Takeshi no Chosenjo?

Wow, that guide is beautiful. How many endings are there? I got one ending after completing every challenge (the one with the credits) and one after I completed every game. By the way, during the first ending you can control a spaceship and shoot to Arino's face. Graphics for this minigame are very detailed (I'd say SNES like) and it would be nice to have the possibility to play it again, but there is no option in the main menu to show the credits again.
Thanks again for the hard work. I'm continuing to play the daily challenges but I think that reaching 99,999 points is *really* hard/time consuming (I'm at 3,500 points and I've completed 30 challenges in a row).

Oh lawdy, not that game again. I tried it after watching the JonTron episode about it. I literally played so long trying to figure out what to do that I was nearly crying from being so frustrated.

If you think that's bad, try G.G. Series Collection +. It's a Japan-exclusive DS collection of games that were released individually (and worldwide, unlike G.G. Series Collection +) as DSiware.

You have to play games to earn points, so you can use those points to unlock games and cosmetic items for the little concierge lady on the menus. However, points are accumulated extremely slowly. Some players have estimated that it could take a year or more of playtime to earn all of the games and items legitimately. Unfortunately, no one is for sure about how long it would take because after playing for a good deal of time, all players (even the most dedicated) usually give up and use the Action Replay cheat to gain a ridiculously sum of in-game money to purchase the games and items with. No one has ever earned all the games and items legitimately, or at least none who have ever been able to prove it, so no one actually knows how long it would actually take to get all of the games.

Mmmh, a bit slow recently. Probably the hype days have passed and there won't be many more bug / typo notifications.

BTW, Aaron you did not publish the latest patch 1.51 on the official RGC2 translation site. I think it would be nice to include in the package the custom covers uploaded in one of the previous posts. They risk to be forgotten, but are really nice!

Okay, I put up the download links on the main site now (Mark might want to look at it and maybe clean up the "package" before submitting it to ROMHacking.net again)

As for the covers, yes, they are quite nice. I do have an "Extras" section I was making for the strategy guide but I was thinking of putting things like the alt covers in there for download as well.

I know it's a bit too late but anyway, I've found another typo:

Arino:
Urakawa, whom we were
supposed to meet at the par ("k" is missing, doesn't fit to a screen)
went to the hospital.

Offtop: I hope Aaron is ok as he hasn't visited this forum for a long period.

He post regular videos on his youtube account, so i think he's ok.
It seems, that he just lost interest and got tired of translating videogames.

Hey buds, any of you know of a good english online ressource for WizMan ?
I cannot, for the life of me, consistently uncover the Light Wands on FLOOR 30, there is some voodoo shit going on there !

The google translation of the japanese wiki is extremly erratic for this one :

" Crystal walk a certain distance where there is no will (or stopped, you can defeat the enemy, even if passing over the Crystal is OK) "

Can you link the original Japanese page, so I can work some magic on it?

Here ya go man : http://www29.atwiki.jp/ds_gamecenter_cx/pages/38.html

It's over 9000 characters though (who can resist a bad joke nowaday ?)
Original: クリスタルが無い所を一定距離歩く(立ち止まったり、敵を倒したり、クリスタルの上を通過してもOK)
Google: Crystal walk a certain distance where there is no will (or stopped, you can defeat the enemy, even if passing over the Crystal is OK)
Excite.co.jp: The fixation distance walks the place where I have no crystals (I stop and beat an enemy, and, it's OK to pass on the crystal.)

My translation: Walk a fixed distance from (a/the) spot with no crystals (Standing there, defeating an enemy, or going above the crystal is OK)

I could make a little more in-game sense of it if I had a screenshot of the floor layout, or a video or something.
The current vibe I get is to just stay away from crystals.

Thanks man, I got it !

The cumulative amount of steps Wizman take on the vertical axis provides a Light Wand when it reaches a specific number.

Either the third one requires a phenomenal amount of steps, or there's a last trick to figure out.

THE LONG WALK, baby
