We want him as a playable character, that’s better than an assist trophy and he’s worth it.
Waluigi, Midna, (just to please the trolls in a plot twist, GOKU) i want Pyra in Smash PLEASE (not rex, just Pyra/Mythra) and that's it...

well this game assist trophy's wont be characters for sure next smash who knows.
so for me here are my toughs
New ips
Arms any playable rep- i mean if nintendo wants to push the game, although the game was kinda of a flop so being an simple assist trophy wouldn't be bad either.
Existing ips
Mario series well i only wanted waluigi so now that he is an assist trophy i think mario series is fine and doesnt need any new fighters.
Donkey kong series Its about time donkey kong gets a new rep either Dixie or K.K.Rool,i would perfer to get a villain since they are more rare, also funky kong needs to be an alt costume of DK.
Yoshi series they could add Kamek i guess but not needed really.
Kirby series a new rep for kirby wouldn't be bad imo being the highly requested bandana waddle dee playable in most kirby main games even.
Star fox series i only wanted krystal and since krystal is on fox trailer its an assist trophy aswell so meh starfox is fine as is with wolf back
Pokemon Series only if they want to promote a new gen 8 pokemon for the upcoming switch game otherwise its fine.
F zero series it needs a new fighter badly its the only original smash series with only one fighter... they could add Black shadow as an echo fighter even and add darkness and a bull graphic to the punch.
Xenoblade series Rex and mithra or whatever names they have on xenoblade 2, it could work like pokemon trainer where she would be on background and he would fight.
3rd partys
Sonic series tails or shadow shadow could be an echo fighter same for tails really they dont need new movesets.
Street fighter Ken echo fighter, basically ken was the first clone fighter ever and with echo fighters he fits like a glove lol.
all the other IPS are fine imo and dont need any fighters.

Just going to pretend "Goki" doesn't exist and assume people aren't seriously choosing that. Cole Phelps too, but not for the same reason.
Base on the poll from most to least, Sora, Banjo and Kazooie, Midna, Shadow, Waluigi, Shantae, Shovel Knight, Amaterasu, Geno
Put Banjo second, simply because it would be another one of those classic characters coming to smash. Same for Spyro, if it was a choice. I have little connection with Amaterasu and less so of Geno, but wouldn't mind them getting in. Midna would be a interesting fighter, especially with two forms. Shadow would make a good Echo character, but I actually hope that he is more than that, if he gets in.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -
