Dude wth is "rice"?? I keep reading about this but can't find any context to it. Is it some kind of patch for Not64 on Wii? If so, how do I get it and install it?
It's a Nintendo 64 Graphics Plugin.
Before, Wii64 only used Glide as its graphic plugin, now there's also a Rice plugin implemented which makes Wii64 work with some games which previously didn't work on the Glide one.

I have a recent version of Not64, does that mean it’s alresdy implemented?

So you have everything to create your forwarder!

Or if you want, you can get mine from my SD package that I have uploaded in my thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-ult...-1-device-by-eipok-mar18.497994/#post-7860554

It is located in the install folder.

It is the Rice one, and enables you to play with the WiiU Gamepad.

Best regards

Or you could read my post before making yours, I already have them like I said and sharing your forwarders openly is against the forum rules.....

Why my controllers desync and nothing work to control the menu in Not64?
Tried gamepad, controller pro U, wiimote... nothing seems to work.
Did I forgot a step?

if you made your own fowarder and didnt patch it with the allow extra bt controllers hacks, when you say yes to use the gamepad no other bt controller can work also not64 so far does not support the gamepad so its pointless to choose yes on start up.

Thank you, that must be it. Used a forwarder I found.

What controllers does Not64 support? It doesn't recognize my Wii U Pro Controller ( i think its a random brand).
So patching the forwarder in this case is useless, correct?

fake controllers hardly work on all homebrew.

afaik it accepts
wiimote+nunchuck
wiimote+Classic controller
wiimote+classic controller pro
wiiu pro controller

all need to be original to work 100% chance, fake controllers usualy dont work on homebrew apps also solo wiimote doesnt either on not64.

Hey guys, I installed Wii64 1.2 on a Wii (Not Wii U) and for the most part it works decent. However I’m having so many problems in running Donkey Kong 64. When tilting the analog forward the camera starts to rotate to the right. Even if I tilt it slightly forward the camera rotates. Now I don’t think it has nothing to do with the analog dead-zones as it works fine with other games. I tried everything, reinstalling, changing settings, changing controllers, etc and nothing works.

I’m also having a problem with the audio out of sync with the video. This specifically noticeable on the DK rap song and on cut scenes. I tried setting the LimitsVIs from 0 to 1 and it does make a slight difference but still completely out of sync.

Am I doing something wrong? People say DK64 runs perfect on Wii64 1.2 and to me that’s not the case. Is it that Wii64 1.2 runs better on Wii U vs Wii?

no its an unfinished issue on dk64, on wiiu you have the official n64 dk64 inject by nintendo that runs perfect.

Is that what it is? You need the official injects to run the DK64 emulator on Wii64 1.2? Since I don’t have a WiiU I won’t be able to run it smoothly on Wii at all?

Not trying to hate, I tried to help you in the switch noob thread by asking for you, but you don't want to accept the answers you got, so do whatever then.

@BigOnYa, Man, first of all thanks for your willing to help, much appreciated. But, it's not that I "don't want to listen", rather than I need soemone to EXPLAIN to me how and why all these are risky.

For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Yes ofc we don't know how Nintendo bans work, but if there are situations where a lot of people have tried safely then we can at least assume that this path is pretty much safe. To say don't try anything homebrew relative just to be safe forever is the easiest thing to say to someone. What I am trying to figure out here is with which cases and what actions got most of the people their bans for.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Most things I can find resulting to a ban is save-editing reasons, like Pokehex, etc, and going online afterwards.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm almost certain fucking Google fibers modems blocking out PPPoE signals
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Like the 6th time I had to reboot this router trying to get PPPoE active
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ken, your hamster inside it is hungry. Can't you turn POE on/off in your WiFi settings page? Or is it not staying on?

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Well, in that thread they say it's pretty much safe to manage save files back and forth to consoles as long as you don't go online with cheats activated or with a pirate game.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
I own every of my games legit with their own cartridges
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
also, I'm not planning to use any cheats, etc, just continue the normal gameplay on the emulator
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It only gives a internet settings option then it spazes out

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@ATEMVEGETA if you use save from other switch you may be ok, but using a save from emulator to switch will prob get you banned
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Under ipv4/6
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
The save file will be created and started normally on the Switch's OFW with a legit game. Then that save file will be transfered to the emulator and continue the gameplay there. Then send it back to the console.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I feel like I need to touch @Sicklyboy rack to make it work at this point
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
The save file(s) would never be created first in an emulator
