I'm new to all this. I ripped my cart of Detective Conan: Phantom Rhapsody into Cia form and encrypted it. Put the file on my pc and got all the needed files extracted. I believe the text for this game is located in romsrf\scripts, not 100% sure, but it has the only files more than 1 or 2 kb. Everything in that folder is a .convo file though. Am I missing something obvious or should I submit something to the github?

Format support is added on demand and with no quickness guarantee, so you're welcome to post your request on our github and wait it out like everyone else. Optionally you could learn C# and begin the reverse engineering process yourself. We've had a few people do that already.

Alright, I'm in no rush. Just thought it would be a fun translation project. I'll post there and try my hand at it as well.

Just saw this like 2 days ago, thought it was a great idea, and wanted to try it.. and I'm running into a problem.. maybe the tool isn't designed for this and that's why..

I'm trying to do a ps2 game (I don't see a thread there, so I'm hopping in here because of that), Dragon Quest Characters: Torneko no Daibōken 3

The file Karameru will run, but it tells me no plug-in will work, Kukkii will not load at all, and Kuriimu will run but same, no plug-in will work.

I kinda thought this would be an easy project with this tool (if I understand it correctly), but can't get it to load.. am I doing something wrong or is this tool not designed for ps2 games?

You indeed get the program wrong. This program is plugin-based. So if nobody ever requested for a plugin for this game or created one, the files will never be supported.
You can request format support on our github, but we work on it in our freetime and so we can't guarantee a quick solution with that.
It's better you have a programmer on your team/project so he can write one.

Is there any .N64/.Z64 support? I know it's an old system, but there's sometime I want to mess with N64 translation, specially Star Fox. The only versions of this game are in english, japanese or chinese, all of them are official releases, so I think this must be tricky.

N64 is one of the last consoles not having a proper and standard file system like newer consoles. Like on the gameboys the data is mixed together with executing code and therefore it depends purely on the game if you can even get something like filenames.

So basically no, there is no such support and for the explained reasons there won't be any standard plugin created for these ROMs.
You may have luck and someone at the time already made some custom tool for your game to look through the data.

Thank you for the awesome work.
I have a question. I managed to extract some pictures out of some games, but a very few of them are corrupted/glitched.
I tried a few versions from the newest to the latest released and same problem occurs.

My question is, do you plan to release a new version and updated soon ?

Thank you very much.

Support for individual game formats is not updated on a whim. People have to tell us what they're having problems with. Without knowing which games and file formats are glitching for you, it's pure luck if your problem is ever fixed. Unless, you report the problem as detailed in the OP. Please read the entire OP.

Thank you for your reply, I submitted an issue on Github, my very first one and hope all the details I wrote will help you fixing those glitches.

@TheFaith30 Kukkii is only an image viewer, it isn't supposed to save fonts or its images, since basically you also should edit the font information to it. Since you can't do that with Kukkii, it isn't supposed to save.
Also for such requests, use the issues on github in the future.

@legendheaven Look into the first post and use the download button?

I don't want to create a new topic, but whoever is working with Kuriimu and the KUP files: I made an addition for the KUP files and extended their usage. The tool lets you cross-reference entries with a wikia (wiki page) of your choice. alternatively, you can translate your text to romaji or english (google translate).
I have tested it successfully with a kup-file from inazuma eleven with their player names.

Since its still not finished and more features shall be added, you might want to try and give me feedback. maybe not here (since its not my topic, but perhaps in the discord channel or at a different channel) => https://github.com/Insighter2k/Kup-Translator
