As you've explained several times before, RR/SS has the opponent Pokémon slightly overleveled to accommodate the lack of EVs for Trainer AI teams. NS/UM, on the other hand, has the opponents fairly balanced in both levels and stats with the player's team. However, at least in my opinion, I thought it was more atmospheric in RR/SS. Even though they technically weren't, they felt stronger, simply because they were almost always at a higher level compared to you. This, in turn, gave more incentive to try and beat them, along with a better feeling of reward when you won.
What I'm wondering is if it'd be possible to combine the features of both; slightly overleveled like RR/SS, while also including the EVs and improvements that NS/UM brought over. I completely understand if this isn't feasible; I'm sure it'd take an unprecedented amount of work to get all the calculations and such for something I'm guessing most players wouldn't fully appreciate. I just think it'd be nice to have the atmosphere of RR/SS combined with the difficulty and improvements from NS/UM for your final send-off 3DS mod.
