Does anybody have thoughts on how to fix this? Wario's Woods, USA. Compress or not, doesn't matter. The baseline of the music is buzzy. Makes it difficult to listen to.

Nope.

What version of firmware is it from?
I don't know how to check firmware version. New to this.
All I can tell you is it's 2KB bigger than the common kernel floating around (449b711238575763c6701f5958323d48).
I have not modified it yet.

Zelda Works at my snes with German PAL and secret of Mana too
And both Patched to ntsc.
Perhabs you try at poth a "PAL hirom To NTSC" patch.

I Used at several Games No Games specifcs Patch but a "PAL hirom To NTSC" or a "PAL lorom to NTSC" Patch and that works

I don't get it. I tried converting using the Tool SNESTOOLS but I have still the same problems. Can you explain your hirom-way to do it? Please.

Interesting. This is a valid but yet-unknown kernel variant.

Can you please also do a NAND-B dump?

Tested the following on Hackchi RC3, all NTSC-U

Brain Lord - Perfect
Chrono Trigger - Perfect
Donkey Kong Country 2 - Perfect
Kirby's Dream Land 3 - Perfect
Legend of the Mystical Ninja - Perfect
Mega Man X2 - Perfect

I'm baffled that the emulator contains Cx4 code :P

Agree.

OP, demos only work for built-in games. If you leave it sitting in a folder with custom games, it won't demo, because there's nothing to demo.

I keep all my games in the same carousel/main page. You can disable folders and set the limit to 100 ROMs without needing a folder.

Anybody else get this MD5 for their US miniSNES kernel?

Googling it only reveals some random neogaf user.

Lol, at least it's a start.

Mind...blown. The *6th* known release.

Your MD5sum corresponds to dp-snesusa-release-v2.0.14-0-gd8b65c6.

Anyone have reset (to menu) for SNESCE working from the stock controller on RC4? Worked for me on an early 2.18 build (as Select + Down), but new defaults (Select + Start + L + R) only resets in-game (and is part of stock anyway), changing to Select + Down in Hakchi2 has no effect and doesn't work.

So...I followed step-by-step tutorials on how to add games using hackchi RC4...but my games don't show up on the UI. I installed snes9x2010 module and still no luck. Hackchi seems to be doing everything fine, but games just don't show up, tried using .zip, .smc and .sfc

I just want to say thank you to all the people that made this possible. I was able to get the RC4 up and running with zero fuss and now am enjoying some more games on my little box. Thanks so much again, you people are really awesome that are doing this work!

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
