While waiting for my card to arrive from the land of Communism, something sweet arrived for me to review
The build quality is awesome, sits good in the card slot.
I know they look the same as those from Ali, but they are made locally. So I will be getting a lot of those for my future projects

Ps i swear i didn't take pictures with a 3ds because phone lens broke :-P

i have this one. its build cheaply but it functions well. it pops in and out. i will point out though that i bought 2 of them at the same time and one of them gets stuck inside the vita and one doesn't. so i just hope you didn't get a lemon like i did. Cheers

Mine got stuck. I think it's because it's because of that lame sticker. I scratched the fuck out the top with tweezers trying to get it out. It's still stuck. Honestly though, I can still take the microsd card out and I'll probably never have to take the adapter out. It's in there.

yeah and the whole point of the push to eject function doesn't matter to me anymore since the newest vitashell can usb transfer from the sd card on the adapter anyway. still sorry to hear you got a bad batch.

why do people still ask is the sd2vita can be taken in and out for, there is no need to remove any version of the sd2vita anymore since vitashell has now been updated that allows sd2vita to be mounted, this was only relevant when sd2vita was first released.

i have two of this model and found both of them to produce graphical glitches on screen so went back to v.1, very happy with that model.

I, for example, want to play games I got on cartridges. So I can dump them. What if I get a new game? How would I dump it then? I need to be able to remove the adapter.

im with gnmmarechal. not everyone with a hacked vita pirates all our games. some of us actually *gasp* actually buy games and support the developers. so having the option to easily take it out is nice.

It pops out easily, loke I said, not made in china. I will compare it to the one that will arive next month I think.
You can just leave the card in, take microsd out, or not even that, vitashell supports access to the card, so you can usb transfer, or ftp files

Think maybe because transfer speeds are quicker PC side with a MicroSD adapter than it is using a direct USB connection from the Vita.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
