Why not use FTPDB and Filezilla?
Files can be corrupted a lot easier over Wifi/Ethernet than copying them with a tool like Teracopy.

Im not really tech savy for the 3ds, what is being able to pull down future updates? Does that mean blocking updates? And update firmware accordingly?
Yes, with Boot9strap you are definently forever safe with 3DS updates. This is a hack they cannot patch, ever.

Any idea how or why it would say the firm is corrupted on both systems? Both were setup just the beginning of this week following the 3ds.guide site to the letter and turned out great. So if they are indeed corrupted, isn't that indicative of something in the current guide having caused the corruption to begin with?
Nope.

This still carried the caveat that the CFW you use needs FIRM protection, just like A9LH. The only difference is that a N3DS shouldn't brick if you updated without FIRM protection, but you'd lose B9S.

Reinstalling B9S is unpatchable, though. At worst, you'd need either a hardmod or a fancy DS cart to do it if someone ended up stuck on 12.9.0 after updating using their Gateway(tm).

True, I stand corrected.

i freaked when you said that, thinking I had missed like 18 system updates today, before I realized you pulled the numbers out of your ass

Just installed Sighax, what all can be done with this now on the 3DS side?
From my understanding, this will give us more power with PC tools, but does this notably enhance anything on-console, or is it too early for anything to have been developed properly to take advantage of sighax?

So no matter what update nintendo releases every single one is hackable via hardmod?

that's great. now when you stop complaining about hardly necessary features, let me know

That's nice, dear. This is actually something to note. Granted, it's not a big deal, but it is a difference. Maybe it'll be sped up later on? Hm.

We need to wait. AFAIK, now that bootrom has been dumped by pretty much everybody with sighax, we have access to keys. WHICH IS A NECESSITY

Can confirm.. It's about a 3 second difference, here. A9LH does, indeed, boot faster.
Sighax had the "slight speed increase" due to being directly installed. But with boot9strap it still loads from SD, so that speed difference should be minimal. Though it's still in it's infancy so we may see an update in the future that decreases boot time.
