Hardware trying to buy this 3ds fire edition but.. cant determine if IPS or TN

link to the images, I think the bottom is definitely IPS, the seller is making it hard to see the top panel? thoughts if its IPS or tN?

Also, why the reason you want know if the screens are IPS?
If i know, most New 3DS models have IPS screens (both)

well, I bought about 10 DS's New ones, all which had TN panels, seems majority of 3DS xl are TN panel now. and I found multiple versions of this console IPS bottom TN top, dual IPS ftw

He got lucky then as I've seen several people do a top screen swap (to IPS) on these kind of 3DSes.

Either way, if they aren't going to tell you what screen it's running. Then you either buy it and find out or let someone else have it

You're not really going to be able to tell from a photo. You can hardly tell the difference when the console is right in front of you. Not to mention filters and photo edits which are sometimes applied automatically....

To me the bottom looks like ips and top is tn but either way its a beautiful device.

Mine came Dual IPS. That is all I can say.

Many Hyrule editions were dual IPS. I was lucky to find out mine had them.

It's hard to tell without a view of the screens from the sides and at various angles, but if I had to guess, the n3DS XL in those pics looks like TN Top, IPS Bottom to me.

My guess is TN top, IPS bottom.

Check out my picture. Left one is Top TN, bottom IPS. Right one is Dual IPS.They're both at brightness 3 with power saving off.

No, it's QW1154
