I tried to mod in the bluemsx library but couldn't figure out where to put the BIOS files, any possible official implementation?

Maybe it's not the individual sub folders, but the main folder containing them? Like if you have a SNES folder on the main screen and then those four folders of 10 games each within it, it would still be treated as 40 games in one folder. So how about putting those four SNES folders directly on the main screen (i.e. removing any folders within folders)?

If this works I think it may be a retroarch thing as the majority of NES games people are adding are utilizing the stock emulator, and people are not having these major save state issues with NES games (yes, some have been reported, but not like what we're seeing with SNES).
I don't think it the subfolders are the issue either. I'm pretty sure the subfolders aren't true subfolders in the way you would think. For example, I believe if you have navigation setup like this:

Folder A->SubFolder A_1
Folder A->SubFolder A_2
Folder A->SubFolder A_3

Folder B->SubFolder B_1
Folder B->SubFolder B_2
Folder B->SubFolder B_3

What the system really creates is all of the folders in the same area...

True Folder Name 01: Represents Folder A (with pointer to the other folders)
True Folder Name 02: Represents Folder A_1
True Folder Name 03: Represents Folder A_2
True Folder Name 04: Represents Folder A_3
True Folder Name 05: Represents Folder B (with pointer to the other folders)
True Folder Name 06: Represents Folder B_1
True Folder Name 07: Represents Folder B_2
True Folder Name 08 Represents Folder B_3

@pcm720, @Cluster, @others any thoughts? Is it possible the SNES Emulator has some cache directory/folder that would be hitting the 30mb limit even when spanning across multiple "navigational folders"? As noted earlier (and in bug reports), what I've observed is I have a maximum of 18 saves allowed for SNES at the moment. If I delete a save in Navigation Folder A, I can then create a new save in Navigation Folder B. The system still has space elsewhere as I can create saves for other emulators without issue and removing games doesn't fix it.

@Cluster Great work man! I just installed 2.12 again, my FDS issues are already fixed. :D The fonts still messed up but I can play FDS games normally again. :D

Edit: The fonts are fixed, just download the updated fontfix.hmod in the github page.

That's great! I noticed the fontfix.hmod was ready, and I plan to install it this weekend when I have time to mess with my Famicom again, but how did you get the FDS issue fixed? I thought we would have to wait until the next Hakchi version before this was fixed. Could you let me know what you did to get FDS games to work (especially the ones included with the Famicom)? Thanks!

All savestates (no matter which core you use) are saved to /var/cache. Does this happen with any of the other cores?

Well, it does save for me. How do you exit RetroArch after that?

Well when I press the option to save, I get no notification, pop up or anything that it's saved. I've tried to exit Retroarch by pressing select + start again, and also by using the exit Retroarch option at the very bottom, but that quits the emulation altogether.

Under either of those scenarios, when I go back into the game from the NES gui and go to the quick start menu in Retroarch, the button settings have gone back to L and R again.

Onscreen notifications are disabled, so you won't see anything. That's how it supposed to be.
1. Load the game, enter RGUI, then go to Quick Menu —> Controls.
2. Set "User 1 (FDS) Disk Side Change" and "User 1 (FDS) Eject Disk" to the keys you want
3. Press "Save Core Remap File"
4. Get back to the main menu of RGUI and Quit RetroArch
This works for me, and should work for you, too

I finally got my wii classic controller, and it seems to work well (also diagonal movements). I wonder how to plug 2 controllers the same time? any idea?

Did you had time to check this out already and did you came with a conclusion if this is useable? Honeylab is making great progress btw but don't know if USB host will allow us to play games from USB storage. Is there a slight possibility to run games from a SD or flash drive in the near future, with one these options? Very curious... Take care.

Ok, I'll try it later once I'm home. It sounds easy enough so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Is there a way to make snes9x2010 the default core, but use snes9x2005 for certain games like Yoshi’s Island using command line arguments?

I just submitted to pcm720 the following working cores:
mednafen_vb
fmsx.hmod
mednafen_wswan
chip8

The following cores were also submitted and already included:
DOSBox
handy
mame2003
mednafen_NGP
pcsx_rearmed

I would like to officially thank @nesito for the hints about the pcsx_rearmed core !

About mame2003 you need mame 0.78 romset (you can also find mame2003 romset, it is the same); do not use older or newer romsets and always use parent sets, not clones or different game version (read here for more info about mame romsets organization). Tested games are:
Black Tiger
Bubble Bobble
Commando
Dynamite Dux
Final Fight
In The Hunt
Mercs
Ordyne
Puzzle Bobble (you need to add neogeo.zip bios to every NEOGEO game folder or create a module to add neogeo.zip in retroarch \etc\libretro\system without having to copy it to each NEOGEO game folder)
Tiger Heli
Toki

I also built the following core modules:
gme : this core lets you play famous music consoles file formats [ay|gbs|gym|hes|kss|nsf|nsfe|sap|spc|vgm|vgz] (tested with .vgz and it works)
imageviewer : this core open graphic files [jpg|jpeg|png|bmp|psd|tga|gif|hdr|pic|ppm|pgm] (tested with .png and it works)

The abouve 2 cores (gme and imageviewer) will probably not be inlcluded in the future releases because they are not emulation-related but here they are if you want to test them: https://www.sendspace.com/file/2odv8q

Non working cores (for me) are:
beetle_psx (substitute it with pcsx rearmed)
mednafen_psx (substitute it with pcsx rearmed)
mednafen_lynx (substitute it with "handy" core, it works great !)

Dunno if the following cores work, if someone can help with further testing it will be great:
scummvm (i tested it with monkey island but without success, need more tests - substitute it with DOSBox)
mednafen_pcfx (I cannot find a small .iso to test)

You should get extension cables, they will take away from that protection clip that is on it. I think that might be easiest without having to dismantle it.

I know in the extension cables I had, that included those clear plastic clips, there was a screw holding it on.. I unscrewed the screw, removed the clear plastic, then re-inserted the screw.. But I didn't screw it back in all the way, as it was now longer than needed since the clear plastic part was now gone. (just to be safe).. If yours has a screw, you can do the same.. Then you will be able to use multiple controllers in the ports. :)

Hope that helps.

I love the work that has been put into this awesome system! Thanks so much, Cluster!

Just a quick question:

I can't find a mame hmod anywhere (like 2003 or 2012), is there one? I have an itching to fire up some old school ms. pac-man (arcade).

I have mame2003_libretro.so and mame2014_libretro.so (cores)
How do I make these into hmods, so I can add them to retroarch? (newbie question perhaps).

I have final burn working great, as well as others. This is such a fun system!
