its their damn right to force an update every 5 minutes if they want to and considering what happened to every other firmware reliant console over the years, i wouldn't even be mad if they did

the thing with wc3, is that blizzard installed a program on their server, called Warden, it would send a signal to everyone logged on their server every few minutes and warcraft was sending it back, but bots werent, so they were disconnected
You're comparing a server sending a signal to users to log off, to a real life circuit board getting the signal to block a SD card reader

Shut the fuck up. You actually don't know what you are talking about.

seems like you werent on wc3 scene when warden was setup
it really was signal, not a timeout, because you could idle for hours on battle.net (wc3 online) without getting kicked out. But if it was a bot, you got kicked after less than two minutes
Wasnt on it but it gets setup the same.
There are codes for bots and they look for that input code.
Same thing on destiny. People where rubber banding the controls down to rack up points over night.
This stop the time out. Once they saw this they change there code and made updates that look for un human plan and will send you a message telling you to press a button to keep playing.

Either way Nintendo would never do anything like this. No company would. It would kill the sytem

:rofl2: If there were an update every time I'd turn the Switch on, I'd keep the system offline.
