so ever since i have gotten Arm9LoaderHax for my N3DSXL and gotten Luma and all that stuff, my 3DS keeps on crashing when doing some specific stuff ( what i mean by crash is the 3DS tells you "an error has occurred... here is what it looks like http://imgur.com/JFOgfvL ), which includes:

1. GBA games crashing. these GBA games use the injector tool, so not an emulator in the HBL

2. loading any DS Rom in TWLoader, there are no white screens, just that one screen

3. loading any DSI Ware game

is there anything i can do to fix the situation?

Maybe there is a problem with the DS compatibility. At the last page of the holy guide there is a troubleshooting guide if the DS compatibility breaks.

https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting

I don't know about the GBA VCs. Try another VC from that iso site. Maybe the tool might give out corrupted cias or something like that.

so i tried using the CIA's given, and they don't work. I install the CIA's, then i go and check TWLoader and my DSI ware games, it doesn't work. i install it again, nothing. so is there anything else i can do for that or am i doing something wrong? also will check if another game works with GBA VC.

Sadly I don't know. I never had a DS compatibility crash. I thought that might help.

Do you have patches selected on luma settings? If not, did you install any patch to the AGBFirm? Have you tried installing blank firms .cia?

yea i have EMUnand
That would be part of the issue loading emunand in the past I could play GBA games by having them saved to sysnand as well ,but was never able to load dsiware games. With A9LH I just stuck with sysnand booting and never had any issues.

I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though

    I appreciate the insight!

@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

It does that when I edit a post.

It inserts a newline in a random spot.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
