Thanks. I don't particularly like this one, as it contains an advertisement of other website. In my opinion, the default forwarder for Wii64 is much nicer. I wish someone compile it using existing resources with a small modifications as per post above.

Just rename all Not64 files to the Wii64 files that the .WAD loads.

Nah, I would like a proper solution. It still says Wii64 on the banner, while it is a fork, Not64. I hope someone with working CustomizeMii + LiboGC eventually make a proper channel!

is there a way to map a button on the N64 to 2 different inputs.

i would like the Dpad to be my c-buttons and still use X and A to be c-left and c-right as well

this would be so helpful, but maybe even more confusing than it already is

This project is great & impressive, don't get me wrong. But the damn having to hook a pro controller to the wiimote is hit and miss for me. Wiimotes dying, having to be within range of the IR bar, button mappings going awry, the wiimote falling off somewhere out of range, etc. Not to mention the pro pad is inferior to the 64 controller. If only this project had GC adapter support. It would be nearly perfect. Otherwise, I'm sincerely considering dropping $160 on an Everdrive64. Unless the Switch will have a more broad virtual console selection. Who the f* knows at this point.

Highly recommend everdrive 64 :)

I just disconnect my IR bar and attatch my wiimote with a USB battery pack to avoid that kind of problem. I have a Everdrive 64 and it's great. Nowadays there's a lot more rom hacks coming out for it, and that's fantastic.

What about a Raspberry Pi 3 with Retropie running Mupen64+? It looks pretty good, despite the frame issues on some games.

for me it needs to read the original cartrige even if only for dumping to give that fell of "actual console reading the cartrige", if it odesnt have an n64 slot is a no go for me, if i wanted to just play those games i could just plug a random laptop to a tv and be done with it.

The RP3 isn't powerful enough to run many N64 games well at all, to be blunt. Some games will work fine, but unless you plan on OCing the device, not really.

I agree with you 100%.
N64 is one of those consoles that are really freaking hard to get right.
It's hard to emulate, and really freaking hard, I tried Mupen64, RetroArch and a lot of other emulators, but I still have problems to get games like Resident Evil 2 and Rogue Squadron working right.
Also, it's hard to get it to play nice in HDTVs.

The only option I can think of to manage to get N64 on an HDTV just fine is getting an Everdrive 64 for easy storage and access, but those shits are really hard to find and pricy as hell.
Second, getting an RGB/HDMI modded console or getting a AV to HD converter, something like the Enko converter might do the job, also worth it for other old consoles from NES and onwards.
And last, getting a freaking modded N64 controller which has the Gamecube analog stick, because fuck the original N64 analog stick.

That's the road I was intending to go, Everdrive 64 + Enko AV2HD converter + Modded N64 controller, but sadly I don't have the money to get the first one xD

Good luck trying to find an ED64 in stock, it's never in stock on their site lol. That and the problem with games like Rouge Squadron is that Factor 5 wrote their own custom microcode, and requires
LLE emulation to get right, same with Battle for Naboo. Factor 5 and Angel Studios did the same with Resident Evil 2, using the GlideN64 plugin, game works mostly fine. But yeah, it's a badly documented
machine. No idea why emulators opted in linear audio interpolation either, real hardware didn't use it.

Yeah I'm aware of that, the ED64 is never in stock, add to that the fact that it's price is high and it's a real big turn off for me.
I could get most of the games I want/lack to for like 50 easily, so I might simply ditch the awful ED64 and go for the real carts instead, now unto the Enko converter. xD
