You're viewing this as a home console, and judging it as a home console, when it's not. It's a portable console with a TV out. It's not a successor to the WiiU, it's a portable console, think of it as Nintendo's version of the PSP (which also had a TV out) or Vita (actually it's the Nvidia Shield Tablet V2, really). The dock is a piece of plastic with power in and TV out, there's nothing in there (except a rumored fan). It's a glorified charging stand. Yes, one person can hijack the tablet, just like one person can hijack a PSP or a GBA. This makes it not feel like a family-oriented home console because it isn't one.I haven't even got into the fact that the dock is useless without the damn tab. To me the console is a FAMILY experience. The fact that one person can just hijack the damn tablet just doesn't make the Switch feel like a console.

What makes Switch different than Wii U???? If anything, aside from graphics, the damn thing feels like a downgrade from Wii U. Sorry but it feels like Nintendo is saying: "we fucked up but here's a new Wii U with a swapping gimmick".
You know what the Switch is? It's this thing. 1: handheld console, 2: supports two players on the go with its tiny controllers, 3: plugs into a TV for big screen gaming. It's all there. But this does not make it a home console, and neither is the Switch. Sure, the graphics might be better than the Wii U (we don't know for sure yet, there is no basis for comparison), but the Wii U was released 4 years ago and it was underpowered from the start, so yeah.
So when you look at it from that perspective, it's not a Wii U with some features removed, it's a PSP with some features tacked on. Think of it that way.
