This is really unrelated to all the hardmod talk going on, but I just want to say a quick thanks to @Dylan the Tactician for rehosting that doc we made.
In all truth I made it because I was sick of getting shadowbanned but I hope if it's getting reuploaded that means it's useful.

Also @Lightimus , at this time even with Cubic Ninja you can't downgrade. Cubic Ninja does allow homebrew access, but downgrades got patched out on the 11 update.

All the harmod talk that's going on is actually completely unrelated to this thread, and if a mod saw it, would likely delete all the messages related to it
But not a problem, I just want to make sure it's safe in case someone decides to be a douche and delete it.

Yeah that's true lmao, I just don't like interrupting much.
And that's also true though. It originally wasn't available for anyone to edit, but I got tired of checking the thread for updates on what has worked for people or not so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sweet! That's what I ended up doing too! My brother had a 9.4 OLD3DS forever because we doing have great internet. My original plan being to purchase a 2DS with really low firmware from Walmart, then if I bricked it return it as a safety net... lol but sadly that's not how it worked out. I ended up buying a second hand 3DS XL in perfect condition, barely used for $55 and traded by brother for his OLD3DS with a broken R button. Happy as a clam!

I have Skype, though I can barely get online atm, I might be delayed with replying to anything because I haven't received them or they're taking forever to send... I followed this tutorial: http://hacked3ds.blogspot.ca/2016/01/how-to-enable-homebrew-to-your-3ds-and.html starting with Homebrew installation > Downgrading to 9.2 > installing EmuNAND > installing CFW > Unlinking SysNAND from EmuNAND > Installing BigBlueMenu through Health & Safety because NASA didn't work! Then PROFIT! This will take a few hours, you'll be following any steps with for the Old3DS, not the New3DS. I can help clarify any unclear or confusing steps in this set up process. And while I didn't have the issue, apparently some of this stuff will crash and you'll have to repeat steps multiple times before it works... Also, VERY IMPORTANT. This has a chance of bricking your 3DS. Be sure to follow every step perfectly, and double check your files before confirming anything or moving onto the next step. If all goes well you'll have this done in a few hours.

edit: also, search your house for a large SD card. You'll definitely want it, if not need it later! I'm using 16GB, but some people use 32GB.

I used my brothers 2ds which as 9.4 software. What do I do next? I'm so lost and all I have done is made it so homebrew will start when I boot the 2ds on while holding L

At part 3 you'll have a sysNAND+emuNAND set up, and the emuNAND is where you'll be able to use NTR in order to use the cheat plugin.

Going further than part three really isn't necessary for this. It's doable, but kind of risky, and it does the same things the sysNAND+emuNAND set up does.

Nice! And yes, once you do that you'll be able to use the cheat plugin. It should have you install FBI over the health and safety app right? You'll want to use that to install this: https://github.com/44670/BootNTR/releases/tag/3.2

You can go ahead and put the plugin in root/plugin/0004whateverthegameidis/cheat.plg. Then run NTR, let it do it's thing, and if it's successful run FE:f. Pust x+y to get the ntr menu.

They're using their brother's old 3ds or something like that, I think.

And yes, as long as it reads "Emu" in the front it's safe to update. Make sure you're always on your red/emuNAND before updating or you can end up locking yourself out of it.

Edit: It seems I can't even show cheat menu in supported games like Super Mario 3d Land,
what am I doing wrong, halp? Screen flashes green, I'm using a9lh/luma 11.0.

Well, I have a problem
On the site where we can see titleID, the title id of the game is 000400000017A8000 but on my console, it is 000400000017A400 so the plugin doesn' work, even by changing the plugin folder name
Anyone had that issue and know what to do?

This isn't working for me. I put the file in a folder called 0004000000179500, renamed it to cheat.plg, and ran NTR before running Fates. On the Nintendo 3DS splash screen, a green flash happened, then the game loaded. Once I get into the game, if I press x+y, the NTR stuff loads on the touch screen, but I get no option to load cheats at all. How do I get this to work?

Press Select instead of X+Y.

Select does nothing for me, except for normal in-game functions.
