The "Unbuttoned" version:

Zip - https://mega.nz/#!IYJU3L4S!qkZCluUjt3AZMWSJ0pTvn_y_KcXeV_xVpAYsNc-Iu3U

Any chance I can get the button version with 30fps? I'm running it on my N3DS and it's much slower than the gif preview. If it's not to much to ask, could you shorten the length of time at the end so that it's not sitting there as long? Thanks :)

Yeah I had some problems trying to get it running at 30fps, I think I might have converted the file wrong or am using an old version of the script. Anyone know the best way to convert an mp4 or gif for 30fps? I could always upload the original mp4s and let someone else convert it, if someone wanted to do that.

You could try converting it using 20-25 fps but using a 30fps config, in order to "trick" BA9.
This is one of the things that I really need to get around to doing: writing a small guide with instructions on how to improve performance

Finally, got my setup done. I know that this boot animation is a little specific, but depending on the interest, I'd be willing to make a few variations.

Thanks for this, Rooster. I hacked this up a bit to use with Luma. It might be handy for those who followed Plailect's Guide. The previews aren't synced. It works a lot better on the console.

Cool, then not only did I make something for when you turn on your 3ds but you're helping me out as well. Anyone mind trying this one out?:

Rate how "smooth" it looks on a scale of 1-10.

i tried downloading it and it detected it as a virus.

It's a data file, it can't infect your PC even if it wanted. It can't be run by windows and it doesn't contain any executable code at all in it.

You must've had a previous infection on your PC, but the file is definitely clean.

Enough scaremongering now.

Look at my post again IT WAS NOT that file.
It can't be dropped because saying someone is trying to infect people isn't something to take lightly
i am just saying what my computer told me and what happened no need to attack

I still have no clue how GW's implementation will work, but if it's anything like I think will be, then no. You can always ask them to contact me and send me some information or files to figure out stuff.

But all in all, I don't think so.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
