Hello, I just want to ask everybody to stay ontopic about things which are emulator related than "attacking who are or who isn't donator"
That said, I have a very useful information here about emulator itself (for the people which are not following the Patreon closely)
Usually, for ALL the patreon versions before this one, a new Patreon release is when donations raise a lot, but now it's dropping A LOT (reverting a rising trend that it had before this controversial version)
Talking about numbers: Before this release the project Patreon was very close to $1600.00, but unfortunatelly as I write this, the project have a little more than $1200.00 (and dropping)
Well, it's quite easy to interpret what is happening: of course these DRM changes are not being well received among the people who donates to the project, while there are people which donates but not ever comment here are very bothered with these emulator changes
Let's then no leave this subject and just "pretend that it's not happening" as this is affecting the own emulator development and fundraising pretendind that these DRM measures "helps the project have more contributions" when we clearly see it's the complete opposite
The most important is (as this thread serves to discuss emulator itself and not for the people attacking each other) I would appreciate a lot to know what's the vision of
@Exzap about this and as I saw in the Patreon a lot of people which is already patrons and even potential new patreons a lot of other people wants to...
Don't you think that all this "pro-DRM" isn't affecting Patreon in a bad way?
Isn't what the donators wants afterall isn't a better emulator instead of trying to restrict their emulator use on Patron versions? (I have to put a side note about the reports of various donators here in this topic about being incorrectly checked as "false" in DRM checking and other usability issues caused by that DRM)
Isn't the right time to start to have a better account for whats this money is used, than just expect than the people donates "more and more"?
Maybe we can have a solid development project this way, maybe using some of this money to pay for other developers to help ou buying some hardware to have a better compatibility among platforms
I'm sure that everybody can gain this way
It's a commum sense that we have this relation between how much the project is funding and the emulator progress and thats why I think that's valid thing to raise up
Thank you very much for all your efforts and your answers!
Ps.: I really apreciate all the good will in these parallel "work" on doing polls and all, but I'm sure that the money which project is actually raising tell us a very lot more about it than silly polls which we already know the result. Sorry
