Hello! I recently made a full guide to set up CFW fully on O3DS and N3DS (this includes all models: 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, N3DS, N3DSXL.) This guide is meant to be a setup leading to setting up a9lh, though it can also be used as standalone to simply get CFW.

Some feedback for you, as I just went through a o3DS using your guide that was on 10.3

• Why do you not mention BrowserHax for 10.3? I went through BrowserHax method to downgrade to 9.2 before following your guide...
• What the heck is this step?

7. Look in the "rei" folder inside your SD card. You will need the "firmware.bin" file from here: <snip>

You mention to just look in the folder, and that we'll need the firmware.bin. Need it for what? Do what with it? You never mention them again, or the rei folder again. ?????

Overall very good guide. Could use some basic fixes here and there to make sure people understand what you're saying. For example:

14. Once done, take out your SD card and transfer back the files from the "10. Backup the contents of your SD card here" folder into your SD card. Afterwards, you are not required to keep the files anymore on your computer.

That is dangerously worded.. As just above you made sure to tell them to eject the card safely from the menu, but then you just tell them to basically yank it out.

Guide updated to version 2.2, fixing the mess of yesterday 2.1's pack. If you have a 2.1 pack, it is necessary to switch to the latest pack, as 2.1 is broken beyond recovery.

Already got the OTP. Any chance of upgrading the guide on how to compile and install arm9loaderhax, then set up bootctr9 with boot options for Decrypt9/Uncart/aureinand? The tutorials out there are really confusing and I don't know where to start!

Yep, that one is not that bad. What worries me most is what to do after that. In my case I'm confused about on how to set up BootCtr9/AuReiNand and also having the option for Decrypt9 and Uncart on boot!

Any chance you could speicify which firmware from the firmware zip to use? When I ever try to launch the CFW it shows the splash, but never then closed and goes back to normal FW.

Hi!

I recently bought a brand new 2DS and downgraded it to 9.2 Firmware using this guide.

Now i noticed it takes like 2 seconds to load the icons when on the homescreen, im unsure if this was the case before.
can someone confirm is this is fine or not?

This is normal. Downgrading to 9.2 is a different firmware and as such takes more time to boot icons. The advantage is that poweroff is much faster.

any other app i can try to backup my system?
or i can i launch backups without flashing a CFW?
