Anyone tried to unbrick yet? I am desperate to try it myself but my hand is so unstable I once tried super gluing a piece of wood and it spilt hence I solder mine. And I don't think so there is someone to hard mod in Pakistan or to receive from.

Your best bet is to send it in for repair by Nintendo. The worst they can do is send you one with a new motherboad with latest firmware. That way you can just get it hardmodded later and have it downgraded. (and then you would have a nand backup this time due to having a nand mod). It's the only way you can recover from a hard-bricked 3DS that failed to downgrade properly.

You should do it soon and not wait. Because at some point Nintendo will release a firmware update that won't allow us to downgrade to a 10.2 firm anymore.

I'd love to but I can't due to my country, besides I think my broken screws voided the warranty I had.

nice to see this has finally been done, i remeber trying this back just as the 9.2 stuff was released but back then there was very little benefit from it as pretty much everyone who wanted 9.2 stayed on it once GW announced their upcoming 9.2 support, and i kinda lacked the enthusiasm/skill (in the supporting software department) to mess about with it beyond making xorpads and i writing the older FIRM but as i said back at that point there wasn't really much supporting software and the 9.2 stuff wasn't working on 9.3/9.4 at the time of me testing

Someone already had a brick and they tried, it just bsod. However they may be doing something wrong. Ill test myself at a later date. Possible a language barrier as well lol.

Either way, sysUpdater fails to downgrade to 9.2, I just get a black screen and nothing. I did select "check update files" and everything displayed "GOOD"

Does it mean that my unit is unable to be downgraded? Did I miss a step?

sYSUPDATER IS IFFY i WOULD JUST TRY AGAIN DID YOU MAKE A nAND BACKUP OF YOUR 10.5 WITH THE 10.2 FIRM? i WOULD RESTORE IT AND TRY AGAIN YOU PROBABLY JUST GOT UNLUCKY DURING THE DOWNGRADE PROCESS.

The firmware files on my github will downgrade only a small part of your system to the 10.2 version, allowing memchunkhax2 to work once again. Your system will continue to show 10.5, but as long as you did all of the steps correctly you should be able to then downgrade to 9.2. Try sysupdater many times, it is very strange about when it wants to work.

I'm now on 9.2

I have a O3DS, I went from 10.5.0.30U to 9.2.0-20U

I had to plug the 3ds into the power charger and turn off the wifi in order for SafeSysUpdater to work (It could just be luck though).

I had to plug the 3ds into the power charger and turn off the wifi in order for SafeSysUpdater to work (It could just be luck though).

Not sure what the other guy tried exactly, but the process in the first post won't work because you need the correct firmware files. Give me a bit and I'll decrypt the right ones.

It wouldn't have worked back then because the firm update in 9.3 was a version change, not a revision change. If you had tried this you would have gotten a brick because of the stuff I mentioned earlier in the thread about the firm checks done by the exheaders.
