Mhh, I played the game yesterday and I was doing some sub-quests and I saved the game. Today I noticed it didn't save at all and I was in the beginning of the chapter I was in. Any idea what's going on? Also, right now it seems saving happens fast and it doesn't seem to save at all.

EDIT1. I've tried with Loadiine 4 and Loadiine 4.1 versions.
EDIT2. Issue solved; lock slider wasn't fully in off mode, just a bit off the track and it was enough to make card to be in read mode.

Sharing savefile is fine.
it contains information on your progress, not the game's data itself.
for the avatar, it contains information to recreate the avatar, not the program or the picture of your character inside.
Sharing savegame is a common practice, but be careful sharing saves from online games. it can contains personal info.

I don't know if the social file contains your NNID or not.
it would be bad to have multiple identical nnid online at the same time.
I guess sharing the game and avatar is fine, keep the social file for yourself.

I didn't do any test to see what the social file contains (maybe the number of won tickets, or the list of encountered players on the sociogram, fav list, etc.)

I've just skimmed the first few pages of this thread and there's a lot of technical information, but I can't see any description of what this project actually does. Could somebody summarise it for me please?

Essentially we're replacing game files, which were modified in localization(like voices and gear) with their original japanese counterparts, so you have the english text, but all content of the japanese game.

I see, thanks for clarifying. Is there any possibility of the same technique being used to add new voice parts? It would be great if the main character had a voice.

Sorry, this is a dumb question. Are you doing this on an actual wiiU? I was under the impression undubs were far into the future. We can actually modify wiiU games?

Of course it is on the Wii U. The game isn't on any other system. Since you can run backups with loadiine on hacked systems, it is entirely possible.

Ah, that makes sense. However, it wasn't quite so obvious! I'm aware it's only on the WiiU, but we've already developed WiiU emulators. I thought maybe that's why you were able to do it, I generally frequent psp/ds/3ds hacking, and wasn't aware the WiiU had progressed so far. Unfortunately it seems I missed my mark, but i'll jump on when there's an exploit for my update.

is there a way to replace the soundtrack of the game with the jap one?
I'm pretty sure the english soundtrack is the same as the japanese one. Sawano likes using english in his music, he did it a lot in KLK, and it doesn't exactly fit all the time either. I remember someone saying how retarded it was they changed "Doll" to "Skel" when the music in the game still talks about flying around in Dolls but I could be wrong.

ye, soundtrack is the same, they din change a single byte [emoji14]

I have to give the patcher a try cause on some story's main chapters I still have a mix of english and japanese audio, like some dialogs of ryzz on chapter 8 iirc, and some others on later chapters :s I rechecked my game audio files and I'm pretty sure i overwrote everything... hm, unless I missed some m/f audio files, are any cpk files also changed in regards to audio?

The music audio files that i did check weeks ago had same hash, but dunno, if there's a difference in some music it could be cause the audio file either is in a location that I din check at the time or the jpn game has some different audio filter/equalizer or something...

What is the difference that u notice?

Yes, only if you are on a system version which allows you to use hacks, homebrew and Cafiine. (5.3.2 or less)
instead of replacing the file and use loadiine, you replace the file on the fly from the network when the disc access them.

if the replaced file is very big, it can be an issue. either crash, or long load time as it will have to transfer it again for every access.
