Yes, you have reason with that. But, some people (a few of, maybe) for different reasons could be interested on this offline installer version, don't you think? I'm thinking in some good reasons for that, but I don't say it, because I don't want to get on a unuseful controversy and for my bad english !

so i've installed this and set it to load rxtools emunand as soon as it loads. but i'm having a problem with my volume slider, i'l have it set to off but then randomly it'l start blasting at full audio. anyone else experiencing this? or heard of anything like this?

edit: hmm might just be that my slider is misaligned a bit. i havent used my 3ds in a while so could be a coincidence it started after i installed this.
i'l test further and edit my post if i find the exact issue.

edit2: ok i just moved the slider up and down quickly a dozen times or so and that seems to have aligned it again. so it wasnt this hax just coincidental. sorry to alarm anyone :)

Tell me in Spanish by PM then cause I can't think of any good reason but drawbacks like wasting SD storage lol

Offline version would be helpful for those who can't get internet connection to their 3DS. Plus it becomes less of a hassle to boot up and you're not wasting as much battery as you could be. And trust me on the internet connection for the console; I've been there once. Had internet but no way to hook it up to my console/handheld.

By the way, does anyone know if there is a way to circumvent BlargSNES not working correctly, or is there no fix at this time?

"wasting sd storage?" the only added thing to my themehax installer is the otherapp archive which adds up to a whopping 2MB. lol

Consider other things like being away from an access point while needing to reinstall the exploit or yellows8's site going down. it happens, ask smea. And what if someone wanted to use this homebrew say 5, 10 years from now? I can't tell you all the old homebrew i've tried to dig up for the DS and GBA that sadly ends up in dead links. This is just another good reason to untether homebrew from the internet -- the cloud sucks.

No, pitifully... Seeing on this webpage, I found this reply from Yellows8 (to Smealum) about that:
This should get properly fixed via a hblauncher-payload update eventually, hopefully.

Then, apparently, only a new fixed version of payloads could solve that issue!

Okay one taker, that's enough. :P

The only difference from the original is that it loads all payloads from the sd card making it truly portable.

RE - UNTETHERED VERSION OR INSTALLATION - HELP

Hi guys

Sorry I am a bit of a newbie with regards to this.

I have successfully installed the 3DS homemenuhax version 1.2 on n OLD 3DS XL

- How do you use this offline version - ie untethered version?
- Is this a full installer for homemenuhax offline?
- Anyone able to provide some steps of a tutorial?

I downloaded it and "messed" around with it but could not figure out how to use the file once i unzipped it so I just reverted back to the 1.2 version of homemenuhax.

sorry for my ignorance... bit of a newbie like i said.

cheers guys
thanks in advance

This post has the offline installer: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-homemenuhax.398124/page-18#post-5705770. And, about how to install, just follow this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...-custom-themes-all-in-one-noobs-guide.395652/

it's works exactly the same as the official versions except with this, you can leave the wifi off.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
