I successfully downloaded some demos, and an Art Academy app I got with Club Nintendo points, while tubehax DNS was still active.
Guys you have to be really careful buying eshop games to download. I just bought a few but like @the_randomizer said, it sat in Pending... I got rid of Obtain DNS still would not download so I had to let the update run download first, which it did, it sat there all ok games downloaded, ran update delete then my problem was then I went back into system settings to set Auto dns back up soon as I entered back into the main menu it updated itself asap and I pulled the plug just in time, luckly its ok but surely there must be a better way to get games of eshop to your main menu cause I was an inch away from updating fully!
I ran the update remover begging it was still ok, when I booted up again and it was with a jammy bit of luck!!!
my sugestion is unlock them all and quickly enter e shop, buy what you want and then proceseed tooyur download manager on wiiumenu, as soon as you see your files finish downloading and installing blovk them again, tahts what i do.So firmware spoofing (5.3.2. spoofed to 5.5.0 ) does not protect you from getting the 5.5.0 system update???
What is the best method to download new shop items and DLCs using the nnu-patcher regarding domain-blocking?
Currently I have blocked nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net, nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net, nus.cdn.shop.wii.com, nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net and nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net but I assume I'll have to unblock some (?) or all (?) of them to access new games and dlc from the eshop...?
the trouble is you need to download the update fully for the vc games to download next inline setting them as first does not work. You have to be so careful I stress this!my sugestion is unlock them all and quickly enter e shop, buy what you want and then proceseed tooyur download manager on wiiumenu, as soon as you see your files finish downloading and installing blovk them again, tahts what i do.
I really don't know what to say for the best just please be careful cause you need to disable all domains for your games to download properly, actually disable dns of your wifi full stop! I had to download the update fully to download the vc titles to my main menu but yes soon as you come out of system settings it goes asap into installing it and very quickly at thatSo firmware spoofing (5.3.2. spoofed to 5.5.0 ) does not protect you from getting the 5.5.0 system update???

It's amazing i finally buy dlc for mk8 and download some demos, and update servers have been blocked all the time.
Yeah I found this out it does work ok with demos/dlc it did with me yesterday but it does not work for some odd reason with purchased there and then VC games/full games from eshopIt's amazing i finally buy dlc for mk8 and download some demos, and update servers have been blocked all the time.
Yep, that's right, but one server "nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net" has unblocked because its domain name too long and i cannot block it like others.just to clarify, you bought and downloaded the mk8 dlc via eShop using the nnu-patcher WHILE having the update servers (all? which ones?) blocked?
Just bought them today.Did you purchase your DLC there and then or was it already purchased and you re-downloaded it again?
What domains did you have blocked exactly via opendns?, that might be the key could you copy & paste your blocked domains down for us so I can compare with mine maybe I have something blocked I should not.Yep, that's right, but one server "nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net" has unblocked because its domain name too long and i cannot block it like others.

I'm not sure how to even use tubehax? So from what I've been hearing, TubeHaxx is the way to go when it comes to blocking while maintaining eShop access
I'm not sure how to even use tubehax?
I only know off the opendns way. What he means is using the tubehax DNS server which is something I'm sure you know of. I forget the IP but it's listed a lot around the forums now.

Thanks but too complicated I think maybe if I can select a certain domain off it will probably work ok. What domains are you blocking and not to use eshop? Here's a blurp from a github I found.
- How to use TubeHax:
- 1. Download the Youtube Application off the Nintendo E-Shop (it's free, if you already have it, make sure it's up-to-date)
- 2. Go to System Settings, Internet, and change the DNS of the network you're connected to: 107.211.140.065 (only the first DNS, keep the second one 0.0.0.0)
- 3. Download the homebrew starter kit off of http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ (and follow the instructions on there)
- 4. Open Youtube and select your firmware (you only have to do this the first time.)
- 5. if done correctly, the Homebrew launcher will load properly.
