Which do you prefer for place names?!

  • Stick with Japanese names for all names.

  • Use localized names (from Dawn/Dusk) for old names, and Japanese for new names.

Popped on here just to check on the status. Thank you for all your hard work!
Saw the poll on name changes. My two cents is that I'd prefer retention of old names from older games (whenever possible), but correction when the names are blatantly wrong. For instance, クーロン being Kowloon is a bit off (Cyber Sleuth-related debate on the subject aside).

Out of curiosity, are there plans to extend the name entry fields? It was particularly damaging to my experience in Dawn/Dusk when names couldn't even accommodate the species name. If not, I understand; it's probably a difficult thing to hack in.

I wanted to say that what you are doing is seriously awesome. I love digimon so much, but it makes it way harder and less fun to play it in Japanese. i cant wait for this to be released. I wish you luck in this process. Seriously tho, this is going to be so dope man, really excited

also wanted to ask if this project is still in the making? because i was hoping it would be done soon so i can play it during summer;)

"Alright everyone, there's something that I must clarify. I know Aaron said that the translation is 100% done, but unfortunately it's not. There's a lot of translation mistakes that need to be fixed first. So we're not currently under inserting text/testing stage.

This will take a long time so please be patient with us. Thanks :)"

That was on the 21st of April, and we haven't heard anything since. So no, I'm afraid to say I don't think we will be seeing it ready for the summer.

What if we abadon nearly-perfect-english translation and insert the text right away so we don't need to wait a little longer? :)
I know this request look like from a "not-a-very-patient-person", but i think the most important thing in translation would be an understandable words and sentences, not the perfect one :)

But, regardless of your decision, i will support this translation project until the very end :)

Not quite, more like Europe and USA don't care for Bandai. They don't release it in English and other languages because it will never be worth it for them. They will never sell enough copies, Dawn/Dusk were the proof of that and one of the main contributing reasons Super Xros Wars and Lost Evolution were never localized.

Might have been the other two games, champion and world ds. I didn't even know the two existed a year of so after they launched. Everytime I showed people dusk and dawn they love it as much as pokemon except for the constant battles.

Glad this is still gokng along. Just letting the digifans know that cyber sleuth is coming west in 2016. Bamco just announced it! Lost evolution and cyber sleuth are the best digimon games i ever played. Glad we are getting both one wah or another.

i'm confused, what makes you think it's still going along? there hasn't been any word from anyone on the team in a month or more. mind you i'm not saying its dead either.
Group PM chat's been dry since the end of May, which was a message from me.

So there's nothing to report really
