Hacking Pasta CFW - A CFW that allows unsigned CIA to be installed on Old and New 3DS! (required ninjhax)

The guy had mother working last year before all this. The pic was posted here just to show it is possible. We figured there are sig checks in ABG_FIRM, and custom GBA VC will not work without ABG_FIRM being patched. There have been no public means to do this, and no announcement by any dev announcing his/her work on it.

I wonder what the difference between gba and any other vc is. A header maybe? What does abg_firm look for? Could we just extract the rom and maybe a couple other assets from the gba and repackage them in a gbc vc for example?

IDK what was patched. If I did, I would know how to code. If I had both the ability to understand and code, we would already have unofficial GBA VC ROMs.

Use SDF to backup the save on emuNAND, then use SDF to restore the save on Pasta.

Nope; believe it or not those stages were not "locked" on the game; the e-Reader cards actually added that data to the game!

Can SDF be used too for DSiWare games?
I want to transfer my safe from Four Swords to my N3DS.
Those damn Hero Keys took quite a chunk of my life, you know.

Does this work on 9.x+ firmware games?

That's the only downside with CIAs in my opinion. I wish there were a way for them to create .SAV files like the Gateway does with .3DS games!

SDF's only quark is applying 4.x saves on 6.x and vice versa.

capito27, motezazer, AlbertoSONIC, I don't know if you guys are aware, but this seems rather interesting.
Would be neat if you guys and felipejfc could come to terms to add eShop spoofing and Region Free to the main Beta.

This way all further contributions could be held in just the same PastaCFW instead of +10 mods down the road.

I would assume a RF cia would be RF so I would say yes, I haven't been able to use pasta though so not 100% sure

Yes and no, the video show you the way to install palantine cfw but you don't want that yes ? The files in the pack (pbt cfw) are nearly the sames but it run on sysnand not emunand.

So you don't have to :

- downgrade (you already are on 4.5 no ?)
- set up emunand.

The rest should be the same.

Quickly, you must :

- put the content of the folder : PBT STUFF.zip/PBT CFW/SDcard Files/ on the root of your sd card.

- go to this url with your 3ds browser to install the mset loader

- try to launch with the mset (you may see : up screen blue, white flash on second screen, then reboot).

- follow the video to install the devmenu (same as palantine cfw)

- once you have the devmenu (or else) you can install sdf to restore your save and launch pasta.

Edit:

+ ask someone to give you a 9.2 save for cubic ninja.

- replace your cubic ninja save with the 9.2.

- upgrade to 9.2.0-20 sysnand with PBT and sysupdater .cia.

- run pasta with ninjhax on the lastest possible firmware.

Stop now and do what I wrote (you can keep the emunand for rxtools if you don't touch it anymore).

When loading the pastaCFW the normal messages apear, but the screen turns black, thhen converts to white, and finally turns gray and stays that way.
Don't know what causes it, it happens at random​
