Do you have emuNAND installed ? Because when I injected my previous emuNAND back, first boot was ok, after that I was getting the same thing as you do, I'm formatting emuNAND again trying to check if that's the problem.
Why would that have anything to do with it? Gateway menu boots just fine if i use my physical cubic ninja
Yeah this shit's happening to me too now, even after removing emuNAND, I don't know what the hell is wrong with it.

The last thing I did, before this started happening, I used OOT to enter my injected emuNAND, which booted fine, opened Xenoblade Chronicles just to see that everything works fine, closed it and shut down my N3DS without taking the GW card out, plugged my charger, after about an hour and a half I wanted to install the new dragonball cia demo, tried to boot and it started doing the Black and White screen.
Gotta go to work now, going to mess with it once I get back home.

did you happen to have the retail oot cart with exploit installed inserted into the console when triggering the exploit the first time.
Wait, so this means that if someone edits a save for the US digital version of OOT, I can buy this one and use it to launch GW without an OOT or CN cart? I should be able to access the eShop on my 9.0 N3DSXL with NTR CFW 2, right?
you need CN to access eshop via NTR, and CN is not on eshop, so this would only be good for getting into gateway mode.....im starting to think maybe they guy who got it working still had oot retail cart in his 3DS which was why it booted up as it could still read the exploit from the save chip on the retail cart.........just a guess though
No, I don't own an OOT, only cubic Ninja, and obviously it wasn't even inserted, It didn't just work one time, it worked multiple times, until I injected back my emuNAND which shouldn't even be an issue.
Something is definitely interfering, I just don't know what.
Hmm strange, have you tried waiting about 30 seconds before hitting A, or alternatively try presting it after about 1 second........finally maybe test another Sd card I know some people had issues with 1 Sd and not another it seems to just vary from person to person, some people have to wait, others have to press it almost immediately, once you get it working it should be fine
Well, I concede, I don't know what the problem is, I formatted my system, formatted my microSD and redownloaded the game about 5 times just to check, I tried swapping SD cards, I don't know how I made it work before, but now it doesn't work.
It seems like it's possible somehow until something happens and ruins it.

i would of bought it and tried it out but i dont think i can justify having a 4th copy of oot 3D (plus i dont really like digital games)

NICE!!! I Sent an e-mail and they didn't respond to me.
Although it worked for me, I still don't know why it stopped, I tried so many ways and nope still a black/white screen.
The black/white screen freeze is btw a common problem with Retail OOT users as well, according to this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-3-1-zelda-oot-compatibility-list-please-post.383544/
A lot of people fixed the freeze by defragging their microSD, I did that too, for me it didn't help.
I got everyone hyped, but I wasn't lying, it worked for me at least the first 5 times.
does anyone have a usa save? I have a legit version of OOT on my new 3ds, which I just bought, and I'm using CN to get into gw now, but I'd like to use my OOT instead, so I can use my CN for NTR.

I remember years ago while vacationing in Florida, was walking along the beach, and come along a group of naked people sunbathing, wouldn't have been bad but I had my 9yr old daughter w me.
