I tried to understand how ROP chains works but i don't know how to use them (For example how to understand where functions are located in virtual Ram to call them).

Personally I've got a GW, and I dislike the idea of a free CFW, those two things are unrelated though.
I'd love a free CFW, especially if it was somehow more convient than a GW, I'd jump ship in an instant.
I guess I dislike it AS an idea, one that's very very unlikely. Incredibly unlikely given it's been a long long time since such a thing was possible and nothing has happened besides a leak of a private CFW that was SPECIFICALLY not supposed to be out in the wild.

We're all gonna be seeing threads, more bounty threads, offers of cash, whinging and piracy debates for the foreseeable future because of an idea.
That's why I dislike the idea, but not at all the concept. In a perfect world it'd be the bees knees out of 9.

Of course, I only speak for myself. There's some very vocal CFW detractors out there with there own issues, but I don't see the problem, if you don't like something, don't use it.

.3DS build cannot access to am:u or am:net and only these 2 service gets you the power to manage CIAs (import,uninstall, listing).

I'm confused. Dev menu and BigBlueMenu both work as .3ds to install .cia files. That's what's used to install your app. And to install BBM as a .cia.

You could install to sysnand, but it won't run, you'd have to use a patched emunand to run custom/pirated cia files (use mt-card's emunand, it doesn't require a cartridge in the system to work).

It also doesn't allow unsigned code to run.

So even if you could install them to sysNAND, then built an MT emuNAND, upon launching into classic mode you'd be unable to launch any of your installed .cia files.

The only patch applied to classic mode is the one related to region free.

In Germany/the European Union you are allowed to make as many copies of your games/CDs/etc as you like. AS LONG as you don't share them.

In the US you can rely on the "Fair-Use" agreement.

Its name is BigRedMenu not bigredboxmenu.

BigRedMenu advantages against devMenu/BigBlueMenu:
- It's legal
- Lists all NAND contents not only a part
- SDMC contents will be parsed (You'll not see for example PNG, TXT etc files. Just Only CIA files)
- Possibility to auto delete a CIA file after its importation
- Scan for CIAs Platform (DSiWare / 3DS)
- It's opensource

TNX, one other thing i wanned to ask is, after installing it all the apps that usually only show-up when you boot the CFW, show up when i turn on the 3ds after rebooting it!?! when i try opening them a message appears telling me to re-download the apps from e-shop again?!?
it that normal? if yes then why/wut4 is that happening?

It's not a Gateway problem, it's an emuNAND problem, and the CFW is an emuNAND partition.

Unlink your sysNAND/emuNAND to fix this.

I haven't tried it either, but I have read over the setup instructions and it requires you set up an "emuNAND" from the gateway menu.

That is correct. Only Classic Mode can be loaded without an MT card.
