Yes, you can use an Android app instead.
have you tried with multiple roms? my wife has 31 roms in her card... and that last german one works fine....

I only tried with 1 ROM, I was lead to believe that's the only way for Sky to take note of an out-of-region game.have you tried with multiple roms? my wife has 31 roms in her card... and that last german one works fine....
Hasn't the dev dropped the app? Will it eventually get outdated? Hopefully notYes, you can use an Android app instead.
If by "clunky operations" you mean having to use the browser exploit, then you do realize that you'll have to do that with Sky3ds too (ie: every time you want to run an out of region game), right? It's official if DS2+ isn't perfect*, sky is the way I'm going. I never thought I'd say that.
*Perfect as in it actually works with the latest firmwares and doesn't rely on clunky operations to get it working, example: Gateway. I appreciate GW and all that they've done for the scene, but I dream of those OG R4 days and will patiently wait for a card that works as simply (and genie)
Thank you smea and all other parties!

Yeah, totally. TBH, I probably won't even be utilizing this to play out of region games, I am just pleased to see such things figured out for this card. It has promising support from the community and that is enticingIf by "clunky operations" you mean having to use the browser exploit, then you do realize that you'll have to do that with Sky3ds too (ie: every time you want to run an out of region game), right?
The Internet Browser vulnerability as well as the Download Play vulnerability may and probably will be patched in future firmwares, your best bet is to keep your system out of date for now.Hasn't the dev dropped the app? Will it eventually get outdated? Hopefully not

What support from the community? This was made possible by GW and smealum alone. If anything, the community's support is centered around GW and CFW, as most of this support comes in the form of homebrew that can't be used with Sky3ds unless you're on <9.3 (which most Sky3ds users aren't).Yeah, totally. Emunand a clunky operation? What. Unless you're using a 2DS or a N3DS, you just select an option in Settings to switch to emunand and you're done. It takes about 10 seconds. And you don't even have to do anything technical or complicated when you first set up your emunand either, you simply tell your GW to create it and presto.Oh and by clunky operations I mean the emunand
Eh?2 card switcharoo stuff...
But GW is compatible with latest firmwares -- via emunand. Using them through emunand is miles better than having to update your sysnand, as that would mean that if your flashcart ever gets blocked, you'll be out of luck. Emunand ensures that your flashcart is future proofed.and the NOT being compatible with the latest system updates.
TBH I would say that having to mess with templates and DiskWriter, being forced to slowly cycle through your roms whenever you want to switch games, and having to run the browser exploit to play out of region games, are far worse hassles than switching to your emunand. These are not difficult concepts to wrap your head around, and I could EASILY do it, but I would much rather have something that is plug&play with very little hassle

Tear your opinion apart? No, I'm just trying to understand what you're talking about, as I cannot wrap my mind around how someone could call emunand a "clunky operation" when comparing GW with the hassle-ridden Sky3ds. I would have understood if you had said that you wouldn't like to run the browser exploit whenever you want to use your flashcart, as that *is* an actual hassle. But okay, if selecting an option in Settings is so much work for you that you would rather pay for games, I suppose I would never understand your logic no matter how much you tried explaining it to me. *shrug* I guess some people just like making a mountain out of a molehill. It's a matter of taste, what works for some may not work for others. I don't understand why you're so dedicated to tear my opinion apart but it won't really change it. I'm not really interested in getting into it with you I'm happy you are completely pleased with GW, I myself think it is an amazing device, I just want something that you throw in and it works. If that's too much to ask for I will just continue to purchase games lol I don't really care that much
I think this is because he do not understand how emunand works, just like most users that do not have a Gateway device.. They simply do not understand how amazing is emunand lol..Tear your opinion apart? I actually do understand, it's just not what I want. Once again, it's just my opinion... it in no way makes GW any less amazing.I think this is because he do not understand how emunand works, just like most users that do not have a Gateway device.. Not a matter of logic at all, it's a matter of preference. I am so sorry I called your precious GW "clunky" *pats back* you seem to be the one making a mountain out of a molehill friend.Tear your opinion apart? DoneBTW Just noticed that my predictive keyboard typed "rejoyce" instead of "regionfree" lol. Can a mod fix that? thanks .
The New 3DS has a different browser. What kind of technical limitations are there in regard to this thing working on a New 3DS? Just curious.
