3 questions:
1.Why do I keep getting a "Access to the path (path to ROM) is denied" error message when I try to patch the header of a NSMB2 ROM? I haven't had that problem with any of the other games I tested.
2.I patched a Pokémon X ROM with a Resident Evil Revelations header and I can still use my old save. Does this mean that I did something wrong, or this is normal for CARD 2 games?
3.If that's normal, is it be safe to go online with this save, or I should delete the old save and start anew?

1, do you have the lock on the SD card if your trying to mod it on the SD
2, no once you patch the header it will delete its old save.....did you remeber to rename the rom to .3dz
3, if online is working wih the save it would be fine, but i think its more likely you forgot yo rename the rom

Oh, you're right, I had forgotten to change the extension
From reading people's posts, I was under the impression that all what changing the extension did was tell GW to enable online when running the game, though. So what does it actually do? Make the game ignore the header? Treat the header as if it's blank?

As for NSMB2, I figured out the problem. The ROM file was set as read-only...

yeah .3ds ignores the header, .3dz enables it

My 3DS is US version, I can find only Pokemon X e Animal Crossing EU version... I will play worldwide or just with EU users? And update patches? I can't understand what is "region-free" using online features on Gateway :P

Sorry if already been answered at some point.

its better to stick to roms from the region of your 3DS as best you can, im not sure if you can use online for out of region games, and also getting game updates doesn't work as updates for games from different regions will not be available on the eshop of the consoles region

Hi, I have a problem with tomodachi life I injected a 4gb header but I get stuck in the creating save data screen.

You need to inject the same header that is in Animal Crossing, Card 2, 2GB or do what I did create a new Card 2 512mb header with hexeditor. It should work for you then. :) also you do need a 3dz format for the game cause later on there is streetpass and you need it for importing goods to your town on the docks.

You don't download the patches from bbb you get them from the eshop

Download gateway rom patcher 0.6 extract a header from your legit dumped game or use a header from this thread, load mk7 rom, patch with header and rename to .3DZ and place on micro ds inside gateway.(if you've already done all this skip it obviously)

From LATEST emunand open eshop and download update then go online

A version of Mario Kart was released with the 1.1 patch already installed, that's what he's talking about.

Spunky Make sure it says "V1.1" next to the multiplayer button on the main menu. If it doesn't, then you don't have the V1.1 rom, and you need to get the update off the eShop.
