No, that's my retail 3DS. I can install everything i want including SDK demos (some patches make this possible). The demo above outputs a strange sound and then displays a fatal error. Works fine on retail.

Buying a panda unit would be to expensive for just running a bit code.

And i don't think dev units have the eShop or the Nintendo Zone app installed ;)

oh yea i noticed that. thats nice. wish to implement installing apps soon on my dev 3ds.
i have a 3DS Panda unit & a retail dev 3DS on 4.5.10

What do you think it is?

The file names should speak for themselves, if that's actually what they are...

That should be quite useful, assuming it is what it appears to be. Now it just needs a lengthy throw into IDA to find out literally every aspect of how it works. It should make continued homebrew development a greater possibility, and eliminate a good deal of the otherwise required fuzzing for kernel commands. And as an added bonus, we now should basically have all the parts required to start making a 3DS emulator. Needless to say I'm excited for this.

Well now everyone who wants one can have a nand dump, at best it could lead to new exploits ect, but alot of ppl who really really wanted one, modded their systems, and did this a long time ago.

Encrypted NAND dumps are not the same as unencrypted RAM dumps.

Thank you, i will buy.

Anyway, i will download the necessary to make my homebrew and start the dev.

Regards, St4rk.

You don't need any 3DS flash card at all, unless your objective is to play backed-up copies of your 3DS games. The software required to develop and run 3DS ARM9-mode homebrew is all in this thread, for free. For coding examples, download everyone's source code and read up. You will, however, need a DS-mode flashcart to run the installer.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
