Gaming X and Y Shiny Pokemon.

i have Japanese Ditto 6IV with Froakie 6IV timied protean and i am breading for 5 days with no luck
about 7-8 boxes filled with 5IV froakies some are 6IVs
and about to get all boxes filled
is there anyway to increase the boxes number ?

Box numbers end at 31. It'll increase as you get closer to what you're seeing now. I thought the same, but it just keeps automatically adding boxes til I hit box 31.

I'm at 1020 eggs for a shiny Froakie and still haven't seen one. You still got a long way to go. I'm 35 boxes full of Froakies so far, so looks like you'll need to hit close to 500-800 eggs before hatching a shiny.

Heh, I started the game just a few days ago, and caught a shiny Caterpie right away. It's either my luck, or it's true that shiny encounters are actually more common.

As Nusdogg said, it'll keep increasing automatically. But as far as I know, you can unlock the extra boxes early by putting at least one Pokemon in each box until you reach the maximum (or at least that's what I did in Gen 5 to get them early, dunno if it still works in Gen 6).

Wow im at 300 eggs for a shiny absol and I think im doing alot.... Glad i did some random breeding with starters and ended up with a shiny turtwig :3
Not showing off either, but I also got shiny Froakie in wonder trade totaly random....

i had hatched about 2000 eggs for a shiny ralts :/

Did you use masuda methode or just normal breeding? if not....then u got around 2000 more eggs too hatch.....

ah, i forgot to add something, before i breed the froakie, i was trying to breed shiny charmander , after 300 eggs i lost all hopes ( that charmander was bad breed anyway , and it was 2 IV jap Ditto with 1 IV Charmeleon

now 6 IV jap Ditto with 6 IV froakie

so, the chain break when i put two new parents ?

there is no chain every egg when you get it has the same chance.

I guess I was lucky - 120+ eggs for a shiny Charmander - 4IVs max.

I got 5IV Shiny Chamander Timid with Solar Power after about 10 boxes. It was like "Yeeeeees"

Also, I got a Shiny Poliwhirl using Fishing Chaining.

But since I'm impatient person, I did some PokeRader chaining and didn't succeeded.

Question #1: If I remove Greninja that I want a shiny off of, and put him/her back into the daycare with a Jap Ditto, will that mess up the probablity or reset it?

Question #2: What if I used a Froakie that was hatched from an egg that Greninja had in place of Greninja in the daycare, will that give me a different probablity or luck for a shiny? Or would it still be the same as Greninja?

Answers for #1 and #2 is No. The probability will not changed because you remove or put another Pokemon except if it was from different region (JAP/ ESP/FRE).

i was going to sr for mewtwo, until i couldnt be bothered. grabbed a soda, came back and decided to just catch the bastard. got him in a premier ball which looks cool though. might start breeding for shiny excadrill later, and i'll name him boota or something xD

anyway the only shinies i ever got were psyduck in pearl and a cinccino on my white rom.. which is probably legit but makes me question its legitimacy :L

so i takes it egg hatching method highly recommends you have egghatch level 3 and does the o-power egg hatch stack on top of the pokemon ability flame body

Shiny Abra? Nice. I'm hunting for a shiny Gastly at the moment.
