Can you take the board out of a 3ds cart and put it into a ds cart? Obviously to mangle your 3ds cart.
Yes, and I can confirm that it does work very nicely. So if your too classy to saw off the nub, you can just take apart a crappy DS game you don't play with a small flathead screwdriver. Here's a pic with the carts swapped. Notice the Ocarina of Time cart that isn't inside the 3DS, but is swapped with another DS game that is inside the 3DS.

So when a hack comes out, just swap carts and modify the save! Although once you take it apart, it makes pulling the top and bottom halves of the cart much easier, so hot glue is advised after doing this, unless you want your cart flying apart when you drop it.

Nobody would know what was new on that page, so here it is:

This is a troll. Probably just trying to lure people to do a survey scam. The edit should soon be erased by an admin.
You beat me too it I was just about to say, do not send a email to that address unless you love spam, at least use a temp email.

From that idiot's user page:

I'm currently testing a beta hack overload .aac and .jpg they were originally a .exe some one help me find out if that will work

So in other words, he renamed an EXE file with the extensions .aac and .jpg, and thinks that will work.

WTF? people are getting really crazy with this hacking thing. The survey sites must be making a lot of money with this.
I'm really noob on this hacking matter, but i know that we won't be seeing emulators and homebrews until at least the second semester.

yes but you will need a DS Flashcard & a DS Phat or Lite

DS Flashcard to load the homebrew save dumper and upper
and a DSLite or Phat due to you cannot hot swap cards in a DSi or 3DS (hotswap is where you switch the card when game/homebrew data has been booted)

It was Xeno's website.
Though I honestly doubt it was the real Xeno. AFAIK they have NEVER released any of their releases through such means. They are waaay more hush hush about those. Plus iirc their "release" was the same as the others that is in circulation, which is not Xenophobia.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
