3. After making your mii, Save the mii file, but rename yourmii.mae to yourmii.mii.

I don't want to see like an idiot, but will My Avatar Editor allow someone to give a mii golden pants? That is my only question before I download it.

Yes, but you can't transfer miis with gold pants to the 3ds. Also, you can't use any symbols not already on the mii keyboard.

Might as well just make it on the wii :/

Also, for those interested:
doubledash.tk/mii
No downloading programs necessary. The symbols down below are meant for wii, don't use it for the 3DS

You can use region locked letters/words though. The ones that can't be shown will just appear as . You can give a mii on 3DS a japanese katakana name. The only real use for this is exactly that. Region locked text or alt codes in your name.

Yeah, you can use Japanese letters, not Korean.
And no, it won't show up as ☐, it will show rename the entire name to ??? if an invalid (not on the 3DS keyboard) character is seen (including Korean), although it could be used for blank names.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
