So looking at this, Sony is having a Vita preview event. Luckily one of the malls is only 45 minutes away so I thought I'd check it out on Friday.

So my fellow tempers, I was wondering if there is anything in particular you want me to look for, any questions to ask while I'm there and after my hands on I could report back my findings.

1) The Vita apparently uses AMOLED screens, which is supposed to have less glare on the screen. I'd appreciate if you'd check how good the screen looks.
2) YES, the Analog stick.
3) What kind of settings are there, that you can tamper with?
4) I'd like to know how you like LiveArea (Vita's new GUI) after actually experiencing with it.

Holy crap, Grapevien Mills mall, that's like 5 minutes from me.
I'll be going tomorrow, definately, thanks for the heads up about this event.

PS - If the OP is ok with it, I'll also answer questions you all have.

I don't mind, Two impressions are better than one.

Also, your mall is open on Thanksgiving? Mines will be closed tomorrow till midnight Black Friday.

Nothing local. They couldn't even do Franklin Mills? That's a huge-as-fuck mall in New Jersey that's not too far away.
Apparently Sony is doing this in cooperation with SImon Malls

It was too noisy back then. If possible I want to find out speaker volume. I hardly use earphones so I hope speaker volume is decent.

Yea, it is (drove by it earlier), but I honestly forgot today's Thanksgiving, so I won't be going anyway. :P
I'll be going Saturday most likely, I try to avoid Black Friday shopping entirely.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
