I have a question regarding running homebrew and my wii u being version 5.5.6. This is my wii u's firmware version and I can run homebrew ver. 1.4 by just hitting the "Run Exploit" button, however is it safe to do this on this version. All tutorials for homebrew on 5.5.6 say you need tiramisu in order to run homebrew, but like I said I can just run it through wiiuexploit.xyz and it seems to work fine. Is it still safe to run homebrew this way, or is tiramisu required for this version? Just making sure before I run anything on the homebrew launcher on 5.5.6 using this method.

You don't specifically require it no. But it is highly recommended.

I ended up using tiramisu, however I'm getting the error in WUP Installer GX2 saying "Verify WUP files correct & complete. DLC/Eshop require sig patch" and I have 01_sigpatches.rpx in wiiu > environments > tiramisu > modules > setup > 01_sigpatches.rpx, anyone know how to fix this?

Side note my file might just be corrupted as another game or file installed fine.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
